It's unbelievable how much I learned in just one additional week! Matt has the ability to condense all the information in easy-to-understand videos and constantly challenge you to make the whole experience even more fun. So far, I enjoyed SheCodes so much and I can't wait to start SheCodes Plus.

It was an amazing journey to learn designing an application from the beginning to end. Although this is not the end of my learning process, I loved coding with Matt and would totally recommend it to anyone eager to learn from a wonderful teacher.
Best decision to try SheCodes Basics! I wasn't sure if I wanted to try out coding but SheCodes Basics is the perfect introduction into this world. It was a lot of information to soak in but Matt breaks it down into manageable chunks so you don't feel too overwhelmed. I definitely feel like you need to & should keep practicing so that you have a more solid understanding but, it makes me happy to think that just 3 weeks ago I didn't know what HTML, CSS & Javascript was and how to use it -- now I do!

SheCodes Plus is a great experience for me. I learned a lot while working on weather forecasting project. It requires consistency and patience to complete the workshop and developing the project from scratch to a fully functional version of it. Matt has given great insights on planning, designing, development of a project and industry best practices. I also got to know about InVision freehand tool, Bootstrap framework, DevOps and How to continuously develop and deploy project using GitHub and Netlify. After completing SheCodes Plus I feel more confident in frontend web development and excited to learn more and improve my skills.
I'm so glad I did the add-on! I feel like it really put me to the task with my knowledge from the previous workshop and I got to learn and try some new things, too! If you're a little unsure about doing the add-on, I'd recommend going for it because you have nothing to lose and so much to gain (like another portfolio piece and several new concepts in html, css, and java). I also leveraged the lessons to build final project with Matt throughout the add-on, so it's not a heap load of work after finishing the lessons.

It has been so helpful to be able to learn coding on my own time by watching Matt's thorough tutorial videos. A big part of what makes this course very helpful as well is the Slack community. Being able to see similar issues others face and seeing solutions is a big help when I would get stuck. I'm a UI/UX Designer, so I don't need to create code in my job, but this course has made it much easier for me to talk with developers and I am now more comfortable exploring code in inspect mode in order to find things out myself. I am a mom of 2 very young children who doesn't have much time to learn, and consider myself a slow learner. I was hesitant to start at first, however I found Matt's way of teaching was so easy to understand as he really guide me step by step. I also love how Matt encourages us to look for answers in Google and it was quite easy to find solutions in Slack. Shecodes team had been very friendly and gave a fast response to my enquiries. I've never thought learning how to code can be this fun! Thank you Matt and team! What I love most about this course is it's toughtfulness in arranging the packages from Basic to Max, so I can test the water to know whether or not I'll learn further about coding. Very well done!
I must admit that I wasn't expecting this to be quite this fun. I joined for practical reasons: I am an artist and I need to be able to create and curate my own page independently so that's why I initially joined. Now I am already feeling very comfortable with coding and it's only been a few days! Matt is a very very clear teacher and the extra resources and extra readings only enrich my knowledge. I must however add that I do have some previous experience with coding-like languages given that I now have 4 years of experience writing in LateX and some university experience with instructing a 3D printer and other lab equipment. I would advise a complete beginner to take it easy. Still! Couldn't have been smoother.
SheCodes Plus was a fulfilling journey for me - racked my brains as I was introduced to API (the most exciting part), worked on advanced Javascript, pieced everything together, and built my very own weather app. Love the bite-sized videos and how Matt provided industry advice and tips in his capacity as a professional coder (on top of being a teacher).
I have tested out a few other coding courses online but always ended up leaving and searching for a new one. Matt explained everything perfectly and even taught me how to do additional research to make my websites even better than what the homework requires me to do. The support from the SheCodes team was also a wonderful experience for me, I felt comfortable knowing that my questions are always welcome. I have been logging on every day for 2-3 weeks straight and I actually enjoy learning here, I will be completing the advanced workshops.

This workshop was a TOUGH one for me. However, I got through it! I have never been so proud of myself after completing something like I am now. I learnt a lot from the React add-on weeks...to be honest I felt challenging even harder before since it is quite confusing and didn't get it clearly. Although I finished all the lessons and am waiting for the Next week, I am always ready to review what I have done whenever I need to. SheCodes has been really a blessing to my learning journey. Matt is really a good teacher, breaks down concepts into bite sized chunks that do not make a student feel panicked. I used to feel like programming was only for a certain caliber of smart people and I used to think I was not smart enough for it. Although I already had some experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Matt really helped me to fully understand the fundamentals by thoroughly explaining each concept which gave me the confidence to be able to write my own code without having to use google as much as I use to. I'm hoping to pursue a degree in computer science but wasn't sure if I'd really get the hang of coding or be genuinely interested for that matter.
