I just completed the SheCodes Basics course, and I loved it! I was always too scared to try to learn to code, I thought I did not have enough time nor the right skills but thanks to this course I learned quickly while having fun and playing with my creativity. The lessons and challenges are well structured and I completed this course despite having a busy schedule. The SheCodes team on Slack supported me when I felt stuck on a challenge, but honestly, the video lessons are so well done that I managed to solve my problems by following Matt's suggestions most of the time. Overall, I liked very much this course and I'm even more excited to continue my coding journey!
I LOVE react. It is so interesting how you can install all these apps using the terminal. The way Matt teaches is so clear and concise, and the slack community rounds out the support aspect of a full University program. Thank you doesn't say enough!

Learning with Matt felt very comfortable and easy - the course is also very-well structured and properly paced. I appreciated Matt sharing the most important information and prioritising the practice over theory, not being overwhelming at all. I also liked the special tips and tricks and felt encouraged and confident to learn more about front-end development.

Another great workshop where I learned so much added to my CV! When I thought there isn't much about HTML and CSS, Matt proved me wrong! I loved learning about them both because I love styling and making a page more visually pleasing and interesting! I have to admit the transform property in CSS can quickly go wrong if you can't stop using it like I do, but this workshop proved me again how fun coding is and how excited I am to learn even more in the workshops!

I knew SheCodes from last December and I started to have interest in coding after their free coding class. I have tried other coding courses but I feel the teaching methods are not suitable for me. Matt is an amazing teacher because he makes coding become easy to learn. Now I can build a website after the SheCodes Basics!

At first, I found React super difficult, I didn't understand everything I was doing and didn't get why we need to use this framework. But as you follow the lessons and Matt's detailed explanations, you get a better understanding of the concepts, you look online for things you need, and you realize why this framework is good and makes our life as developers much easier! This has to be the seamless I have heard learning the Use of HTML, CSS and JavaScript in 2 weeks even if the course was to span for 3. One thing Matt has taken time to stress is consistency and you watch him repeat steps in each of his tutorials. Finished another step into my coding journey! SheCodes Responsive has helped me deepen my knowledge into coding and sharpen my skills thru challenges given each lesson and by building a real-life project-my very own portfolio showcasing my project to potential employers. Like SheCodes Basics and Plus, I received all the necessary tools, updated materials and software, together with their live technical support in case Iβm feeling stuck and needed help with the assignments. Importantly, I can take the lessons at my own pace, it can be easily accessed any time and itβs not a problem if I needed more time to finish the course; I can ask for extension to so that I can get back to it any time Iβm ready. I find it quite rewarding that I was able to solve each problem by myself, getting back to Mattβs bite-size lessons which are all very clear. He delivers topics such as advanced Bootstrap (Navigation, Utility Classes, etc.), Flexbox, Multiple Page Hosting, Media Queries, and more in such a way that it is transparent, fun to learn and easy to understand. Heβs an amazing instructor with an equally amazing team. Thank you SheCodes!
SheCodes PLUS is definitely a step-up from Basics. I really enjoyed creating the weather app and learning the complexity of functions, api integrations, and HTML structure. I was able to follow-along to Matt's teaching, and I used Slack to ask any questions I may of had. The Athena AI was useful too, that was a nice feature.
I am in a middle of a career change and wanted to try coding to see if this was something I can do and most importantly want to do for a new path in my life. I was nervous at first about these courses being online, but SheCodes made it very easy to do and having the videos to go back and listen to Matt's instructions worked better then in-person classes. I loved it and found out I am not bad at coding! I am looking forward to learning more in the other advanced courses in SheCodes. Don't be scared to learn something new at any age. It has been a great experience so far. I had no previous knowledge about coding but the instructor, Matt made it really interesting to follow and understand. though i had issues with the sound from Week One, it didn't deter my learning. SheCodes Plus was definitely a challenge but in the best way possible! The skill set I gained from this goes beyond anything I imagined. Being able to build an entire app by myself after following all the lessons is a massive confidence boost, not forgetting to mention the fun I've had! The exercises keep everything interactive unless you're learning through videos. Taking these 4 level courses is just what you need if you don't have time all day. Plus the team is fully supportive and accessing the community in Slack is a huge bonus.
