This course completely worked for my self-paced learning preference but also with today's microlearning methods/ learning bites. The use of applied practice through effective coding challenges is key to skill-building in this workshop. No tutorial was longer than 10 minutes and Matt emphasized areas where we may find difficulty or need to review. He encouraged us to persevere and enjoy the process which helps learners build confidence and I did! I have gained more knowledge and skills than expected in less than 3 weeks :).
This was challenging, but well worth the time. The team was very helpful when stuck, and it was nice to walkthrough project with Matt for more complicated material.
I was a bit apprehensive at first about doing the program, being 52 and out of the workforce as a stay at home mom. Iβm so glad I took the leap! The lessons are concise and I love how you can replay them as many times as needed. Matt is an outstanding instructor and I definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a challenge, as well as marketable skills.
I enjoyed going through the JavaScript section a lot! I gave this course 4* because I wish we had gone more in depth in JavaScript basics, before building the whole project. While Matt is a great teacher I do think the videos could have more explanations on why something is being done :) All in all, a great course to get you acquainted with the development flow and getting to build a whole project with the last weeks is very fun :)
Completing the SheCodes basic course was an amazing learning experience for me. I got the hang of HTML quite quickly but JavaScript proved to be a real challenge. Despite this, I am determined to practice it again on my own until I get the hang of it. Matt explained it quite well, its just that JavaScript is challenging on its own. In the past, I found creating websites with no-code visual editors quite frustrating. However, in just a few weeks, Matt taught me how to build a landing page from scratch, which I completed in just a few hours. The previous methods only caused me annoyance and took forever. Now that I have learned the basics of coding, I am beginning to understand the process of using code to build a website. I'm thrilled and incredibly grateful to have discovered SheCodes. I can't wait to continue my coding journey!

This project was such a blast to work on for my portfolio! I learned so much, including how to properly craft prompts for AI, work with AI APIs, style CSS directly in JavaScript, and even explore new JS plugins. A big focus of this project was user experienceβmaking sure the design was intuitive, engaging, and enjoyable for anyone who interacted with it. The highlight of the experience was building our own AI generator using the SheCodes AI API. What made it special was the creative freedom to design and define what we wanted our AI to generate. For me, the choice was easyβcombining my love for the universe and poetry. I created a Cosmic AI Generator that writes 4-line poems about the cosmos, inspired by any word you provide. Itβs a fun, celestial way to explore creativity through AI while keeping the user experience simple and seamless. A huge thanks to SheCodes for this incredible project and to Matt for the clear, step-by-step lessons that made it all possible.
I love how I am gaining knowledge step by step. I also love how the course is self-paced. I am grateful to the instructor Matt for explaining the concepts with simple words making it easy to grasp the course. This was my first time officially trying to learn how to code. I can confidently say that Matt took the time to explain everything thoroughly, and Iβm very thankful for that. It was great to have the option to watch the videos as many times as I needed. Everything was explained so well that I only had to ask for help on Slack once throughout 30-something lessons. I applied for the Delac Foundation program and it was the best decision everi took,i am getting better in coding, and getting taught without paying any money and i just wish that more women can apply especially those who are beginners in coding and wants to increase their coding skills, because Matt he is the best he makes things easier even though some are tough.

Over these two weeks, the journey had its ups and downs. At times, it felt a little boring, especially when I got stuck, but I kept pushing through. Iβm happy I made it this far! Maybe I havenβt learned everything perfectly, but Iβve come to know so much about JavaScript input types, time, Moment.js CDN, and Moment Timezone. At the very least, I tried, and thatβs what matters most to me!
There are not enough good things I can say about this program. The classes were easy to follow up on and understand and if I had a problem I found it easy to ask for help when I was stumped on something. It was a wonderful learning experience altogether. All thanks to Matt Delac and the rest of the SheCodes family.

I'm a Wattpad reader. If I like a story, I get too addicted until I finish reading the story. SheCodes made me too addicted to keep styling. I always hear Matt saying in most of his tutorial videos that `once I start styling, I never stop`. I can totally relate to that! Wow, SheCodes, what have you done to me? You made me from a person with the impression of being scared of CSS into a CSS-addicted person. The more I learn, the more i want to style my page.

Started this programme with zero knowledge of coding, but Matt explained things so well and made it all make sense. I am very excited and optimistic about the journey ahead.
Editing HTML with CSS has always been a nightmare for me. I am not a web designer and neither am I a theory person. So some external training videos and articles only increased my anxiety so I stopped trying to learn HTML and CSS. I have always been in the backend development only. In Matt's tutorial videos, the placement of div, and the way to use inspect to see where my padding/margin issues are, it was mind-blowing and made a lot of sense. With Matt's video, I was able to understand the theory without even trying harder. I'm amazed at myself when I can easily build a landing page. Of course with some additional resource references, but hey, it's still great progress for me! Kudos to me for trusting SheCodes and kudos to the SheCodes team for turning my wish list into a reality!

The React 6-week course was the perfect introduction to React. Everything is well explained and it was great to put together a weather application using React to see how it works in practice. I also enjoyed following along with the tutorial, but using the SheCodes API to build the application. Whilst Matt used the OpenWeather API at the time of the recording, I found it useful having a different API to use, to learn from his method, but adapt it based on a different API resource. I would highly recommend this course!

It was so fun to create a world clock with live data from the different timezones, advancing my Javascript skills further. The more and more I use JS the better I get at doing it on my own before Matt finishes with his explanations. I'm so happy I joined this foundation when I did.

This was the hardest one yet but I really enjoyed all the homework more especially the project. It was one of those "Omg did I really do that", Matt as usual explains everything so clearly you just have to focus and go back to a lesson video if you're confused but more often than not your answer lies in rewatching the lessons.
The Responsive Plus workshop, like all the other SheCodes workshop that I have taken, is chock full of solid skills which any Front End Developer definitely needs to be good and efficient. I have loved creating this project, from Figma to Screen - and then I enjoyed tweaking it to show off a subject which I am VERY excited about: Patagonia.
