As someone with no IT background, I thought to myself "what have I gotten myself into this time around?", the moment I saw all the codes that I couldn't read or understand, I really thought I wouldn't even finish the Intro course as I didn't even have the confident to continue with the first lesson, but to my surprise I fell in love with coding and wanting to code more and it was all because of my wonderful instructor Matt. He made coding seem very easy and enjoyable, which made me want to learn more about coding. I'm glad I decided to join SheCodes, it's amazing how quickly one can acquire new skills so fast only because of this wonderful workshop and great teacher, who made it easy and enjoyable to learn.

Matt is a wonderful teacher and this three-week course packed a punch! I went from not knowing anything about coding to being able to make a simple website. It was both challenging and fun, and I would recommend it to everyone!

Shecodes is the best foundation ever. When I started this journey I did not know anything about coding but Shecodes assessments help you understand better and example that they have give you better understand. Matt is a great teacher he explains everything and although the classes are online but you will feel like he’s talking to face-to -face . Definitely I will continue coding with this foundation and hopefully land my first tech job one day.

Coding is great! It seemed like a great idea until you see the actual code behind all these amazing web pages and applications. I honestly didn't think I'd pull through with it, but Matt is a great mentor who makes it seem like a walk in the park. I still can't believe the simplicity and fun behind the SheCodes Basics workshop. It probably gets more complex with advancement, but with my amazing mentor, come hell or difficult code, I'll reach the end goal of becoming a fully trained and certified front-end developer. 🙂

The SheCodes Basics Add-On Workshop wan an awesome experience from start to finish! Matt's clear explanations made learning easy, and his enthusiasm for coding made it so much fun. I really love how my project ended up looking. Although it was supposed to be a page about my hobby, I decided to do it about Eminem because I'm a Stan :P I'm looking forward to completing the next Add-On now!
I really enjoyed doing the SheCodes introduction to coding. It was such an amazing and fun experience for me. I liked how matt conducts his lessons they're really easy to understand. I don't regret doing this course I have learnt a lot in a short space of time. I would definitly reccommend this to other ladies as well.
Coding made so much easier and fun. I would recommend taking this course anyone out there who thought that coding was for boys and few bright girls, Matt taught me this is for everyone. I have learned a lot and looking forward in using my skill in the professional world, God willing. I just finished the Basics and enroll in Plus! I completely amazed how far I went in my coding path and all thanks to Matt and how easy he explains everything. Also, thanks for the whole SheCodes team that are always available to help and give feedback in Slack. I feel already like in a Teamwork and is amazing, you can feel lost sometimes and that you don't understand but the supoort that all the team and also classmates gives you is incredible. As a total beginner with absolutely 0 knowledge about coding whatsoever, I'd say this was an excellent introduction to the world of coding. Matt is a great teacher and explains everything in simple words which makes it super easy to grasp. Also, love that he didn't spoon feed the concepts and made his students use their knowledge & logic to complete assignments.
As someone who has always been curious about programming but never knew where to start, this class was perfect for me. From day one, it was evident that the instructor was an expert in the field and a gifted educator. Matt has the ability to break down complex concepts into easy follow-along steps. The class welcomed questions and fostered an environment where everyone felt comfortable asking for help. It was satisfying to witness my code come to life and solve intricate problems step-by-step.
SheCodes Plus has come to an end and I obtained my Web Development Certificate🎉 To be honest it was such a great adventure and throughout these past 8 weeks, I’ve experienced different feelings. Sometimes I was exhausted and confused and other times I had unbelievable happiness and confidence for completing a challenging task in the right manner. This workshop was sooo exciting! I can’t believe how much I have learned in the last weeks… Although it was harder than expected… I took me longer than planned since I am a mom of two under 5, and you know… life happens…there were days that I’ve ended up sleeping at 3am, so I can code in peace and quiet … But I was so hooked to coding, (and sometimes I’ve got frustrated since I have zero background on coding)… right now I can say that I have built a functional app all from scratch… I just want to keep learning more and more… and see where this coding journey would take me. What can I say about She Codes? I am transitioning to UX, and a friend of mine has recommended She Codes. I was a little bit scared because I had never thought about working with coding. And then I started the course, and I can say that Matt's teaching, the way the course is conducted, the challenges—everything helped me achieve a very good performance. Such a great workshop! It is key if you want to make your webpages responsive, aka good-looking in mobile devices, which is of course crucial if you want to become a front-end dev. As with the other workshops I've done so far, Matt explains everything in a completely understandable manner. I love how we can follow everything step by step, even what to do when we make a mistake! It gives us the necessary tools to do what we are supposed to with some confidence on the way. It's naturalness makes it more attainable. I also feel that little by little I manage to ask less for help, not because I know everything, but because I have the tools to find the answers I need by myself. Looking forward to the Responsive Adds-on and SheCodes React!
Building responsive webpages by use of flex and grid seemed to be a giant that only those with computer science degrees would hack. Thanks to Matt for the well step by step explanations of the concepts, I can now use the flex and grid very comfortably.

I got laid off in December and struggled to find work as a UX designer. The UX market isn't great at the moment and I can see there are a lot of developer opportunities, so I decided to upskill in coding. After learning coding from Matt, I upgraded to Max. Fun little project that looks nice without too much effort. It's a bit of a challenge to make it responsive without using bootstrap or the other techniques learnt in the main responsive workshop, but it's cool that Matt shows us different ways :)

SheCodes is a very convenient program for learning to code especially if you are a beginner. Matt is such a great instructor, everything was made clear and you were given a schedule that you had to work with which made sure that you were not left behind and you were up to date with your work.
