SheCodes 100% definitely is the best coding workshop out there! Before starting SheCodes basics I thought I would feel discouraged or disinterested after the first week but it was completely the opposite. Throughout the course I was engaged and motivated to challenge myself and complete the tasks. The challenges and videos made coding feel so much more easier and it helped me stay on track. One thing I loved about the workshop is that I could go back to any lesson which I didn't fully understand and work on the challenges at any time of the day which is extremely useful for people who are busy. I really enjoyed this workshop. I have a learning disability and haven't been in school in years, so I was nervous I would have difficulty, however it was pretty simple and straight forward. I actually had a ton of fun creating the last project, even so that I finished super early and tried to add in extra things that were taught, and things I googled to figure out. It was really fun! I did have issues with how the videos would teach us one thing, but then the work you needed to submit asked you to do something that wasn't even taught to you yet. I also didn't quite understand why an entire workshop for teaching women to code is taught by a man. A woman instructor would be better, though I understand Matt is the creator and therefor he teaches it all. I would really like to continue with the other workshops, however they are unfortunately not something I can afford.

My brother, who is a software engineer, has told me so many times that I have good problem-solving skills and that I should learn coding. He tried teaching me coding before, but when he did, to me it was very overwhelming, and so I thought that I coding was never for me until years later and I found a free coding session of SheCodes online. I decided to give it a try because I thought, "What's the worst that could happen?". There I found Matt teaching coding in a very approachable manner, explaining everything as if he were taking me by the hand leading me step by step. The way he makes comments on subjects make the lessons relatable so that I did not feel intimidated or overwhelmed. Surprisingly, I enjoyed so much that I decided to try out the 3-week course. And now that I've finished the 3-week course, I can actually see that I do have a potential to make this my career so I've decided to dive into SheCodes Max to invest in myself for my future. I would not have been able to learn on my own if not for SheCodes. I'm excited to start next week!

I've enjoyed every single second of this workshop!!! π The lessons are very well structured and paced. Matt has a natural talent for teaching, he just makes everything very easy to understand with real-life examples. I really enjoyed every part of the SheCodes basics learning from how our Instructor Matt taught everything to doing the homework and the project on my own. The fact that I can be writing my code and being able to see the outcome as it is made me want to learn more coding and that's why I'm really grateful to be in this workshop. Coding is fun! Before starting at SheCodes, I thought that coding was difficult and that I would have a hard time learning it though I found it interesting. But, thanks to Matt and the SheCodes slack community, it was a wonderful experience. In just 3 weeks, I've become 3 languages smarter. The best part of the workshop for me was working on my final project where I was able to freestyle and be creative.
I've always felt that coding is meant for the smart ones or at least those with strong computer background and that kept me far away from it. But upon joining SheCodes Foundation, Matt being the great teacher he is made me realize even I can code. I'm still on the basics but I can already see how much value this skill will aid in my career.

I enjoyed every minute of the SheCodes Basics workshop! I love Matt's teaching style. I learned while having fun and even laughing sometimes. I loved that there are challenges after most of the teaching videos. This is the best teaching style for me. You implement what you learn. I also like that it is self-paced although there is a deadline for submitting the weekly homeworks and the final project. This is good for me too because I need to be able to learn on my own time but I also need that little push to stay on track. Can't wait to start with the SheCodes Plus workshop!

this is a course that make participants familiar with front-end coding.The focus of it is on HTML and CSS but I've learned some basic codes and concepts of JavaScripts. I wish the course was more elaborated with some details. Also it would be useful that fundamental concepts(like variable scope) were explained. I am truely happy that I came across SheCodes a couple of weeks ago. I have always been somewhat curious about coding, but never had the guts to participate in any sort of education around it, since I feared the feeling of embarassment if I wouldn't get the hang of it right away. SheCodes for me has the perfect balance of providing deadlines yet also enables participant to work on the lessons/challenges/homework whenever best suitable for them (/us). I had to postpone one of my homework deadlines and was really happy how easy that was, too. Zero stress added to the already stressful daily life at work and other things going on - life pretty much. Now that I have completed my first course I am determined to book another one soon. I really enjoyed the little highs whenever my code worked and am now also confident enough, that I am capable of learning more about it. All thanks to Matt and his team. I absolutely loved the sheCodes workshop experience. It was very beginner friendly and Matt explains the concepts so well. I have a lot to learn still but I am further than I was 3 weeks ago.

This course has been really really exciting and Matt is an excellent teacher! Those videos definitely taught me a lot and I am happy it is being done like this so I could go back in case I don't quite remember. This course gives you a lot of flexibility and for that, I am extremely happy. I have always wanted to start my own business and for my final project, I did a demo of my prospective business page and I was overwhelmed with emotions. Looking forward to learning more so I can improve it!
