Taking part in the SheCodes basics lessons has been truly amazing. I enjoyed every bit of it, including the challenges. At first I was skeptical about learing front-end languages because I have never done them before but the SheCodes Basics course has made me confident and I believe that going forward I will perform extremly well. I really enjoyed learning HTML, CSS and advanced javascript. I will say that the most difficult part in my journey was learning Javascript but all thanks to Matt he made my journey easy and explained things very well.

React was a bit hectic although I learnt a lot of advanced shortcuts towards coding, it was a lot of work, but I easy understood everything with the help of Matt and Discord.

I enjoyed the Shecodes basics course, The course is very beginner-friendly. I like that the videos are not long, you take them in small bites. Matt is a very good instructor, I cannot wait to start the Shecodes plus workshop.
Enjoyed building this portfolio design! It was challenging but I followed Matt step by step and doing it that way helped me to absorb the techniques a bit more (rather than doing it all after watching the steps). I see what he means about wanting to go nuts with constantly amending the CSS but at this stage I'll leave it with what is largely the given template design as it was a lot to take in. I joined this programme thinking I'd have a mountain to climb but I'm glad to say it was more of a walk in the park. There were quite a number of things to learn within a short span of time however, Matt made every concept so simple and easy to grasp, which is very commendable. I never thought coding or just creating a landing page would be something I could learn and do!!! I am actually still in disbelief after creating my own landing page (I think my personal creativity let me down though lol). I have also heard that JavaScript is so complex before learning how to code, and honestly I really understand the basics. Matt is such a great teacher and the SheCodes team as well as Athena (SheCodes' AI assistant) are always a great extra help. I 100% recommend this workshop to beginners especially those who are doubting they could ever learn how to code.
I learned how to harness the power of Bootstrap, Figma, and other tools while building on the coding knowledge from previous workshops. As always, Matt did a great job explaining concepts in simple terms. It was a fun experience to create a responsive multi-page portfolio.
Learning Html, CSS and JS has been challenging but great. Nothing brings joy than a code that works. Matt explains the lessons so well. I look forward to learning more and excelling in this field.

I loved going further in-depth regarding what you can do when designing a page. Again, this is so much easier to grasp since the page is about something I'm passionate about. And, as I am following along with Matt, I was able to make tweaks that looked suitable for his page but weren't for mine. Thank you for this opportunity!

It has been an exciting journey to join Shecodes. I was a bit hesitant to start as someone with zero experience in coding and knowing little about computers, I did not think I would pull it off but thanks to Matt the instructor, he explains everything in simple terms that even a beginner like me can understand. This course was very challenging but Matt's video breaks down the steps to help understand the concepts. Although I had to watch some videos few times to understand one concepts because some of the concepts were difficult, the course is worth the try for your skills!

The Plus workshop was an incredible journey from start to finish. The workshop began with easy and rewarding tasks that provided a solid foundation for beginners like me. When I decided to try the SheCodes free coding class for beginners, I didn't know this was the start of a complete coding journey. Within 60 minutes, I was hooked. I needed more. I wanted to understand, to be empowered, to take it to a whole new level. Now I have just finished SheCodes Plus, and I will go further. This is one of the best decision I made! I have included HTML, CSS, Javascript, Git, GitHub, API, Netifly, and much more new words in my vocabulary. It's like learning a whole new international language which opens so many doors. As a psychology graduate, I was feeling lost and discouraged after university, having difficulties finding a job it felt like I made the wrong decision. After my friend encouraged me to look into SheCodes and how it would broaden my horizons I felt as if coding would an impossible thing for me to learn and I was so intimidated but the structured lessons that are so accessible and explained in bite size videos made it so easy to understand and Matt was so encouraging even over the videos, his passion for coding and wanting women to learn and enter the tech world transcended through the phone and made me feel as if I could really do it, which I did.

A challenging but extremely fulfilling next step on my journey of learning to code. A fairly big jump from Shecodes Basics but, again, I'm just so glad a course like this exists! Re-coding the same web app from scratch in the final two weeks was an excellent way to cement the knowledge of everything learned along the way. One of my favourite things about this course was actually its 'imperfections'... Matt making mistakes and still including them in the final recordings helps give a realistic view of the process of coding - no better way to learn than from mistakes! The Shecodes slack was incredibly helpful when something wasn't working out too. Thank you 💜

Building my own responsive portfolio was a lot of fun - thanks to the team for their support and to Matt for guiding us through the process with his really clear instructional videos. Very enjoyable!
This course gave me a good insight into the basics of coding. It opened my perception about coding and showed me that it's not rocket science and that anyone can learn it.
