I've been very curious about learning code for years. But I also dreaded it a lot. I expected a steeper learning curve. Instead, I found that I am enjoying it enormously. I should thank Matt for this, as he showed me that coding can be fun. As the dawn of AI is upon us, I believe that programming languages and human-computer interactions will take their essential places in school curriculums.

I enjoyed this workshop! It wasn't overwhelming and was structured to allow you to continue to apply what you learned. The Slack channel was very helpful in checking if one of your questions had already been answered or if you wanted to ask a question about your code, the support available was great. Additionally, all of the resources Matt provided came in handy throughout the whole of the workshop. Overall, it was a great experience and I would 100% recommend this course for anyone learning to code for the first time or those wanting a refresher like myself!

I took the SheCodes Basics and the SheCodes Basics Add-On workshops over a year and 6 months apart from each other. I was worried that I would be struggling to understand the concepts I learned the year before but thanks to Matt's teaching style, it didn't even matter! It was like I picked up right where I left off, despite the fact that I had not practiced the code being taught in that time frame. Every assignment was easy to understand and retain and he even had a little refresher at the beginning. It's very forgiving. So if you're worried about doing everything at once, don't. It's very intuitive!

These first three weeks of SheCodes have been a pleasure for me. The way the workshops are planned is perfect to fit into my already active and busy life, and it's a great feeling to see yourself progress with each lesson and witness every change made to the code materialize on the page. I liked this section of the workshop, but a bit different from the other workshops where you had to build your own project. This workshop gave you an option so I opted to essentially follow Matthew to replicate his. This was not my favorite workshop and could have skipped it if I knew the layout.
