Growing up, I never saw myself being in the "tech world" because I always thought coding so difficult and only for "smart" people. SheCodes helped me realize that I'm also as smart as anyone out there and I'm glad I challenged myself by signing up for this workshop because it brought me so much joy to overcome the doubts I had about myself and showed me that I can do anything that I put my mind to no matter how difficult I think it is.
First Time learning how to code and I cant believe how far i've come. Matt explains each subject in such a way that a complete beginner with zero Coding experience can understand. This add-on is a nice little two-week addition to the Plus curriculum. I am encouraged to solidify my knowledge of concepts from earlier lessons and challenged to learn just a little bit more than before. I love that we can see Matt making small mistakes during the lessons; it shows us we are not alone in making those little errors, and that we can do hard things! These were the longest 8 weeks of my entire 26 years ,but i wouldn't trade them for anything because they have equiped me with such incredible skills and knowledge! I went from only being able to create a static page using HTML,CSS and basic JavaScript to creating my own weather application, which for me is beyond greatness because when i first started i didn't even know what HTML Elements wereππ€¦ββοΈ. I am going to keep working on mastering these 3 languages and add a forecast to my pride-themed weather application. I am grateful to Matt for making my coding journey so much fun and easy, he really knows how to explain things in a way that even if its hard you finally get to the point where you're like,"oh yeah, i see it now" and that is the best feeling. This was a really fun workshop! I learned so much about how to make a webpage responsive and SEO friendly, as well as how to link multiple webpages together. This course is not meant to be simple but it is a language and with practice and the great videos from Matt, you do get there and it's a lot of fun!

It's been a while since I started my coding journey, and what can I say? It's been a rollercoaster, but definitely worth it. I went from not knowing any coding to coding a whole functional website, and it's all thanks to Matt's teaching and the lovely community of She Codes. If you're looking to start, just start, for the only regret you will have is not starting earlier.
I really struggled with react in the first few weeks, though I should say Matt is the best as I was able to finish all my Home works and the final project with less confusion compared to the first weeks...Thank You.

I recently completed the SheCodes AI Add on course, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! As someone with a passion for coding and a desire to integrate AI into my projects, this course was exactly what I needed. Matt did a fantastic job of breaking down complex concepts into manageable chunks, and the hands on projects were both engaging and practical.
With this workshop, I learned a lot about responsive design, but I was also able to improve my previous knowledge from other SheCodes workshops. It was very interesting getting to know the building process of a webpage. Since the design and how we, as developers, will "translate" that design into code. I highly recommend it because I like the way Matt explains everything, I like the pace of the course, and also the real life examples given during the classes.

The SheCodes React module is a must complete. Challenging & attention demanding, it bothered me more than I'd like to admit for the first three weeks, but when it sunk in? Oh! So satisfying! It really highlighted how comfortable and confident I had become with coding regular JavaScript. Matt's instructions are always clear and concise, and when even that wasn't working I used the support of the SheCodes Slack channels to understand where I was going wrong. Spoiler alert, I was forgetting to restart the server. I am very excited to add the React Weather Search Engine to my Portfolio.

This workshop was fun to learn. I created a recipe generator, that I will use when I get stuck for ideas in the kitchen. This example related to me more, as I am not crazy about poetry. At first, I was a bit intimidated to move away from Matt's example, thinking it would be more confusing to learn. I am excited that this was not the case. I found that it was easy to customise and encouraging to think of other AI projects I could create to streamline my everyday tasks!!

In this week Add On, I learned how to create CSS grids which was something I was looking for in the Basics homework. Overall, I feel this short course has enabled me to keep my coding skills fresh in my mind whilst building more advanced HTML, CSS and Javascript. I really enjoyed making the Final Project and towards the end I ended up tinkering with the CSS code and understanding where to put certain classes or hovers - something I definitely wouldn't have been able to do 3 weeks ago. I thoroughly enjoyed taking the basic workshops. I feel that Matt really breaks down everything you need to know and what is important to remember in the beginner course. My favorite aspect of this workshop is the challenges and homework we had to do, which helped me a lot in retaining the information I had just learned. Additionally, I'm very happy it was self-paced, as it allowed me to do it around my schedule with my kids around. The Slack channel is also helpful if you are feeling stuck or need assistance. This was an amazing experience, for a person who knew nothing about coding Matthieu Delac, has broken down everything so exceptionally. I enjoyed every minute of it. At this point I am so excited to build more projects and looking forward to more weeks of intensive learning and coding with SheCodes.
