I have really enjoyed the course; it's very challenging, but support is on hand and Matt's style of teaching is easy to follow. I have found the community supportive and it's allowed me to learn new skills which I've really enjoyed.
I'm very glad I took the entire SheCodes series. I strengthened the skills I already had and I've still learned so much, even though I have taken a few intro coding bootcamps. Honestly, React doesn't seem nearly as intimidating now as before I began the React workshop. In general, there are are quite a few things I'd already run across before while learning JavaScript but I didn't fully grasp them until I took these workshops. Matt walks you through the lessons in a very approachable way and the slack community definitely keeps you from feeling like you are on your own to figure things out. I highly recommend this series to anyone wanting to learn JavaScript and React.
Having absolutely no background in coding I have really learned a lot with SheCodes. Matt explains every step very well and it's really fun to build a page from scratch and add to the functionality with each lesson.

Working in Growth Marketing this workshop was very useful to me as it enables me to understand websites better and perform simple coding tasks, such as adopting email and landing page templates in our CRM myself without the need to ask our Dev team for even minor changes. It takes a lot of patience and perseverance, but more importantly, it takes curiosity to get where you want to. I recommend this course to everyone who wants to start coding, no matter in which coding language. Specifically to those who are afraid of coding and think it's too hard to learn! This is certainly a good way to start because making a website (landing page in this case) using HTML, CSS and JS is actually fun and interactive. So you won't be bored and you keep going to achieve the defined small goals during this course. I personally really enjoyed it.

The SheCodes Plus project was the perfect balance of fun and challenging. It introduced a lot of concepts that are new to me but Matt explains everything clearly and in a way that makes everything come together in progressive steps. I recommend it to everyone!
SheCodes's workshops are truly amazing. They are constructed to make it easy to follow and understand the fundamental concepts even for those who think they "weren't born to code"π For example, although I've completed the introduction to Object Oriented Programming in college before taking SheCodes course, the part about how function receives parameters was somewhat confusing to me. I could do template-based tasks, but I did not have deep, intuitive understanding of the function-parameters relations. And with Matt's explanation, I've got this "Aha!" moment in a matter of minutes.
Working through my first SheCodes class, I was excited learning about HTML & CSS, but was scared to learn about Javascript, based on stories I was told. I completed my first class, and then did SheCodes plus, and javascript was almost nothing! I started my SheCodes React, and was terried, but Matt made it easy, and explains everything thoroughlyso you understood why it was that way. If there were more SheCodes courses, I would most definitely be signing up!
I knew absolutely nothing about coding or development before beginning this course; while I still wouldn't feel comfortable going out to apply for developer jobs, I am super confident in the foundation this first workshop has helped me to build. I love Matt's teaching style and the exercises are fun & inviting in a way you don't even realize you're learning! 15/10 recommend & I can't wait to start Workshop #2 tomorrow πΎ

I had always been interested in coding and the SheCodes workshop was a great place to start. Matt's lessons take you through the basic elements of HTML, CSS and Java and provide the perfect foundation for your coding knowledge, whether you're just wanting an introduction or looking to transition into coding full time!
After graduating from the SheCodes Introduction to Coding, I went on to SheCodes plus - it's been an overall fantastic learning experience. Matt is a fantastic teacher and Lexi has kept in regular contact checking in, which really adds to the experience. I studied Computer Science at University, but felt I was unable to code, and had zero confidence in myself. It has been a few years since I graduated from university, and I felt ready to step back into the field. I now want to continue my journey, take the next step with SheCodes to learn React, then continue my learning with the aim to begin a career as a software developer.
I really enjoyed the SheCodes introductory workshop! Matt was a great teacher and went through everything step-by-step. I especially enjoyed his humour - it made learning more fun! The challenges and project are also a great way to hold you accountable and practice what you learn along the way. I'm a digital marketing professional and I think what I have learned here will certainly help me in my career. I'm looking forward to continuing my learning and becoming more adept with programming. SheCodes Plus has really improved my skills in my job as a software tester. I am now much more skilled at writing quality bugs and pointing developers to the issue, even helping to debug code and setting up the automation testing on our project. SheCodes is the only coding workshop that I have been trought that I was really passion about. Matt is a greeeat teacher, the exercises are simple (but not so simple). I love how each lesson is followed by a challenge, which allows us to apply what we learn in the video class. Having come from virtually no experience of coding, this was a challenging course but well worth it. Matt explains everything clearly, while also encouraging students to experiment and discover their own solutions. The challenges took me slightly longer than the advertised five hours a week, but it was well worth the time for the sense of achievement.
Through SheCodes I was able to experience how coding is fun and fascinating. I am thrilled that I have taken my first step to join the SheCodes community and took the three weeks course. SheCodes is a very well done training:insightful, practical, entertaining and flexible to meet your needs: either to just get a first flavour of coding/programming or switch career completely. I enjoyed every bit of the program (lessons , exercises, homework...) and had loads of fun completing it. I must admit that I was, at the beginning, very sceptical to the e-learning format , but the way the course is structured : simple and yet very engaging (insightful videos, fun exercises, support given ...) made the whole experience greatly enjoyable. Man... what a wonderful journey! Learning with Matt and his team was the best choice and investment of my time and efforts in 2020. I am very grateful for all that I have learned and truly recommend SheCodes to any woman in search of a change, new skills or an entrance in the world of web development. I started with the 3 weeks SheCodes workshop as a complete beginner in any area related to IT and tech. Matt's explanations and the lesson structure are very valuable and easy to understand and most importantly, guided step by step. There is also a wonderful group of people on the Slack platform where students are always welcome to share their challenges and get swift help form the team. After the 3 weeks workshop I decided to invest in the next step and take on the front end development course. I learned a lot. I had challenges, late nights and lots of satisfaction. This workshop was so amazingly designed to the point were even though I came across difficulties I wouldn't demotivate. It not only gave me an idea of how fun it is to code, but it forced me to overcome adversities by my self (although I could always ask for help). I am super happy with the decision I made by signing up, I will definitely come back to do a more in depth program. Thank you Matt, and all the programmers that made this experience possible.
I really found this course beneficial. I was a total beginner before the course having no clue about where to start and this helped me to guide me through the different processes of coding in a very clear and easy way. I like how you can complete many challenges to do in your own time, plus with the use of the range of tutorials! The challenges really gave me lots of confidence that would help for my future career. I would definitely recommend doing this course as Matt shows you the insights of coding in the real world for employment and I thought this was so simple to understand.

Iβm so happy that I 3 weeks ago decided to take courses at SheCodes. I tried some different online coding courses before, but it didnβt work for me, I spend a lot of time, but by the end I could not code by myself. Highly recommend this React course. As with the previous courses Matt delivers easy to follow, comprehensive lessons and challenges that gradually help you build an understanding of React. I personally found Javascript vanilla difficult to use and implement. However I found React much easier and simple to work with.
I completed the introductory course and loved it! It definitely sparked my interest in coding, so I decided I would continue with the plus course. I can honestly say this was the hardest challenge I have even done. At times I got discouraged, but I kept at it and in the end I triumphed. Matt did an amazing job explaining all of the information. I would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in getting a start in coding. Matt is a wonderful instructor, and you will not be disappointed.

After having done the first 3 weeks workshop and enjoying myself, I was in a bit of a dilemma as I could not afford the full price of the next part of the course, I'm content and happy that as a student they allow alternatives when you are financially struggling. After having gone over 12+ weeks with SheCodes I have enjoyed the process of learning more and how quick and easy it is to learn from Matt online and even struggling through the processes alone, but there are always great support available for any help. Also, I loved the music radio station, it was fun to study while listening to it - something I would want to learn how to do myself! A friend of mine suggested me this web coding course and I thought it was a great idea! I was quite enthusiast about learning how websites and pages are structured and work. At first, I admit that I was afraid of not being able to follow the lessons and do the exercises, but the course is well-structured and everything is explained clearly. The most fun thing is that you can immediately see what you are creating and I think that's amazing. Almost like having a magic wand. I loved the SheCodes+ course and working on my finale project. It was intense, and some challenges can be difficult, but Matt explains things super clearly and makes learning very fun. The team is so nice, and available to help. I liked that there is also a bit of interaction on Slack with other students. I've succeeded to complete the course while working full-time and being pregnant, and I'm not sure I could have done it with a different course. I'm really grateful for this opportunity, and looking forward to learn more about coding.

I realized that I could be so much more than that so I've recently expand my actuation areas and, to be able to reach everyone, I need some basic programming skills to leed with websites and more...but I neveeer thought that I would like it so much! I highly recommend the SheCodes workshops! I was always very curious about coding, but never really had the time to explore this world, when this course came up on my LinkedIn feed it felt perfect timing! I first went to the free coding class with Matt and in just that 1h I learned so much. The SheCodes Online Workshop is suited for students of all ages and for beginners, it's well-paced, and at the end of each lesson, we have the opportunity to also practice with homework and projects. We are fully supported, if we have any difficulties on the projects we can ask the technical assistants and fellow students, and Matt is a brilliant teacher! After this workshop, I'm thinking to continue my studies in coding!
Matt and the rest of the SheCodes team made what would have taken me months on my own super easy, fast, and enjoyable to learn! Going from zero previous coding experience to understanding HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in three weeks feels like a huge accomplishment, following the videos and practice exercises made learning how to code really interesting and fun! This workshop is great for someone who wants to learn to code but can't commit to a full time bootcamp or a set schedule of live lessons. Matt explains everything very clearly for an absolute beginner, while also encouraging you to figure some things out on your own. The challenges after each lesson reinforce what you've learned so you really feel like you understand what you're doing. I'm excited to move on to the next part of the workshop!

I really enjoyed the SheCodes basics after doing the lessons. I don't mean to sound proud but it was very easy and elementary for me to learn. I really do recommend this course to anyone as Matt is a good teacher he makes coding very very easy. I also enjoyed the challenges too learning JavaScript, HTML, CSS all together. I can't wait to move on to SheCodes Plus after doing the basics.
I started the SheCodes Workshop without any experience and in three weeks I learned a lot! I really enjoyed all the experience of learning with Matt and all the other girls and I recommend the workshop to all the women that are interested in learning about coding! I'll continue to learn in SheCodes Plus π
Complete beginner here! I've tried and failed, start and stopped free coding workshops, and felt convinced I would never get the hang of it. I wasn't cut out for coding. Now, I'm sad it's going to be over! I had so much fun learning from Matt, the tools were amazing and the knowledge feels like a huge stepping stone for me! I was itching to get my two little girls to bed every night these past three weeks so that I could get to my challenges! The project was so fun, I finished it early :) I cannot recommend this enough.
I came in with the most basic knowledge of HTML/CSS. The lessons are never overwhelming, the steps are clear and resources are provided for further assistance. I really appreciate Matt sharing his best practices to keep your code clean and readable. I vetted many workshops before signing up, and SheCodes was equipped with exactly what I wanted to learn.
Before attending the course i was a little bit nervous to immerse myself into something that is so different and remote from everything i have ever done previously. But after the first lesson my enthusiasm was grown up to 1000%, and i truly believe it's a merit of Matt who has managed to create a great way of teaching which can work for any beginner who really wants to learn. I am so happy i discovered this course!
I can recommend this course to anyone interested in learning basic front-end developer skills. Matt explains everything in a very pleasant way and the course is divided in easy manageable blocks.
I love SheCodes! Before this workshop I had no idea what these language codes were and looking at them on a screen would make me cringe. In just 3 weeks I was able to learn the basics of HTML, CSS, and Javascript ... now when I see it on a screen I can grasp what's going on! I thoroughly enjoyed this course! I found the JavaScript a little tricky but when I spent some time on the lessons and recapped what we had done, it started to click! I found getting up, walking away, having a coffee and returning definitely helps. I think Matt is a great teacher and the admins on Slack were extremely helpful as / when we needed something.
I recently lost my job due to the pandemic and currently working as a part-timer. Because I have vacant time, I looked for a course that not only will fill my vacant time but would also help me professionally. I stumbled SheCodes in LinkedIn and enrolled in. The course itself is really informative plus the easy video instructions by Matt. Even my brother-in-law, whom is a programmer, is impressed. I hope many Ladies will invest in these courses.
