I have been trying to learn how to code for about a year now, but due to my crazy job schedule I haven't been able to find a course that fits my needs. SheCodes was the best experience I could have ever hoped for. Matt and his team were ALWAYS available to help, even with the time difference. The videos were clear and concise and I never felt confused by what he was teaching us. I will recommend this course to anyone who will listen and I am so incredibly grateful for this opportunity.

This course was the perfect fit for me! I wanted to learn web development more in-depth, but I needed guidance and some pressure not to procrastinate however, I couldn't spend a lot of money on a coding bootcamp. Although it was online and we could do it at our own pace, we had the slack chat which helped in feeling part of the class. Matt's English is very good and the classes are spoken at a good pace and you can understand everything very well. Any questions we had we could ask on slack and one of the instructors or even the students would respond briefly. I found it was very helpful this method of asking questions in slack because I would see my colleagues doubts and if I couldn't help them, I would see what the instructors answered and learned a little more. Also when the homework was submitted it appeared on slack and it really helped me in keeping my motivation because I didn't want to fall behind. All the people I talked to were very friendly and ready to help. I really do believe that we get a lot of value for the price we pay. It is on our side to make the most of it!
Coding was something that I was already interested in learning, and this course was very useful to start from scratch. Matt's videos and examples helped me a lot to understand how things work! 😊I think this workshop can be beneficial for professionals in different areas. When I took my multimedia master's degree I chose to take classes of "coding" HTML, CSS and PHP with SQL. The teacher was good but the truth is that I was very worried about getting the master's degree and I just memorized things. I always tried to learn code by myself but the aproach you have witch a teacher explaining it is very different than just being alone learning. Matt has a lot of patience and I learned a lot with his classes!

Matt explains very well and the hands-on exercises are close to his examples, but require a bit of adaptation, which is great to not only reproduce, but also think by yourself. I loved the workshop! It's really organized, helpfull and funny . Matt is a great teacher. He knows a lot how transmit the knowledge. The place is very good and has easy access. The assistants are so kindly. It was everything good in my opinion and I really recommend it. I think now I'm more confident to follow the code world.
This workshop could change completely my ignorant way of thinking: I concluded that coding doesn't have to be necessarily Maths. I didn't really have expectations when I registered. An excellent way to learn to code even without any basic knowledge, since it could be easily turned into an overwhelming experience. Since I was born, the world of tech wasn't exactly my thing, but over the years I realized that it could be a lot of fun and interesting. When I found Matt's course I told myself "girl you have to do it". I do not regret my decision and even though it wasn't easy at the beginning, I can see myself doing it in the future! I come from a financial area and kind of tech friendly, but before the course I could never imagine that my knowledge doing macros in MS Excel (which looks a bit old fashioned in times of artificial intelligence) could be highly connected with JavaScript. The weekend was full of new concepts and the SheCodes methodology allowed Matt and the team challenge us at the same time we had lots of fun.

A great workshop for people who are curious about programing. I already had some knowledge of CSS and HTML and it was still a great learning experience. It is fast-paced, and you might find yourself at a loss a couple of times, but Matt is a great teacher and you end up the workshop with great basics.

I saw an ad for SheCodes via Instagram and was intrigued by the whole concept and initiative to get more females into tech and coding! As a sociology student, I already had some experience with coding in other programs and languages, so I wasn't all new to the concept of coding, but learned a ton nonetheless! Matt's teaching is delivered in a very pedagogic manner, which makes a whole lot easier for both beginners and people on an intermediate level. Definitely worth it!

This course definitely exceeded my expectations! I didn't have any coding background and by the end of the first day I was able to understand basic html and CSS, and at the end of the course I was feeling like a real geek :)!
