SheCodes has been so great for me because of how I learn as an individual. Matt really makes things easy to understand and helps you to build components on your own. I like that for each video you watch there is a challenge to make sure you are completing the challenge correctly. SheCodes really wants you to succeed in coding!

I started my career in the tech industry two years ago, and since day 1 Iβve had the benefit of meeting and interacting with many talented and inspiring developers. I couldn't believe that I could build my very own weather app within just a few weeks. Matt makes it very easy to understand and the team is very helpful and answer question promptly. I recommend this workshop to anyone who wants to learn building websites and coding effectively.
I really enjoyed this part of the course. It was challenging and overwhelming, but really fun thanks to Matt, who made every new concept more approachable to every woman new in programming. If asked when I started, if I was going to achieve these much just within a couple of weeks, I would have doubted it hands down. My friend took the 3-week course and mentioned it to me. We both work in tech for different companies. Coding is something I've always been interested in doing, but it intimidated me. It's great that you can set your own space completing this workshop, and I would have never thought that I would lose myself in coding for hours and hours because I wanted to learn more and more. The videos are easy to follow and Matt provides great tips. I've done some other online courses about HTML and CSS in the past, but I was never able to find the right commitment. The challenges and homework at SheCodes changed that. I'm very proud of the end result!
I used to self-study Javascript and HTML/CSS, and because of my experience, I knew I needed to find a place where someone could teach me a more concrete foundation. I chose SheCodes because it felt comfortable to me knowing other women around my age wanted to develop a new skill that wasn't in their current repertoire. The BASICS package was very easy to go through - especially because I had prior knowledge, but I did learn a few other things while going through each lesson and doing each assignment. I think it was nice to hear a few tips from Matt and how actual developers might do some basic coding.
I have learned and made great progress throughout this course! I am so proud of how far I've come since starting SheCodes Basics with absolutely no knowledge of coding. I feel comfortable with concepts of coding that I was scared of before! The lessons being split up into shorter segments really helps to grasp the concepts and from feeling overwhelmed. It is also simple to follow along with Matt's lessons at my own pace and if there is an issue I can not figure out myself, the technicians are prompt to provide help on the Slack chat. I would definitely encourage others step out of their comfort zone and give SheCodes a try!

After almost 6 years on the helpdesk I decided to make a change and get into something more interesting, I had tried all kinds of tutorials and signed up for loads of bootcamps and it all ended up being either too expensive or not the right fit. Matt taught us in short bursts and still allowed room for us to look and find answers on our own! He not only taught me how to code but he taught me how to find the answers I need as well so that I can continue to teach myself! Looking forward to more workshops from SheCodes!

An amazing introduction into the world of coding. Lessons are set out in an extremely user friendly 3 part format - 'Learn' A video tutorial explaining how something works. 'Challenge' An opportunity to demonstrate what you have just learnt. 'Solution' Explanation of how to solve the challenge. The video tutorials are informative and perfectly timed to ensure that they aren't overwhelming for newbies. Just enough information is provided to allow students to have a clear set up whilst also providing a little extra challenge here and there. Completing the final project has left me really excited and ready to take on the 'SheCodes Plus' workshop next! Huge thank you to Matt and the SheCodes teams! :)
I have no experience in coding. I didn't even know what it was really, until a couple months ago. I was nervous to try, and even more nervous to take a boot camp. I am horrible at school. I am not good at processing information just by listening. SheCodes has been the best thing, and I am so happy I found it. Matt is an excellent teacher! I love the way he talks, and he keeps you interested. He explains things so well. And to top it off, you actually DO the coding after he shows you. I learn best by doing, and this has been the best thing for me. I am just completing the basic course and plan on taking the pro course! In just 3 weeks, I learned so much! I was an absolute beginner when I started. I had no prior knowledge whatsoever. At first, it seemed intimidating, but now I can make a basic website already! I enyojed this short course, it was great to get a bit more familiar with coding! The videos were good for learning, Matt explained everything and the solution section helped a lot as well. The learning materials were clear and easily understandable, the challanges were super fun and it felt like a little win each time I could complete one.
I had some basic coding skills but never had any contact with html and CSS. Matt is great during the lessons and the supporting slack network is great to. I would highly recomend to anyone who wants to know more about front end development.

SheCodes Plus was a great course to take after SheCodes Basics where I got to use what I had previously learnt and develop a greater understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It was challenging at times but the videos and solutions from Matt along with all the support from the rest of the team via Slack meant I was able to complete my weekly homework and for the final project create something better than I could have hoped for.
The short lessons and Matt's teaching has kept me focused and engaged in the course. I liked that we needed to confront changes in the project and in the code, as we may face in 'real life'.

I have had so much fun for the past 3 weeks with SheCodes Basics! I can't believe how much I have learned in just 3 weeks. I have been working as an IT Service Desk Analyst for 10 years and I was desperately looking for something better. I have been working closely with our development team for the past 2 years. At first, I was so intimidated sitting in their meetings because I didn't understand a thing and I thought you had to be some kind of genius to do that kind of work. Then slowly I began to understand what they were talking about and became familiar with some of the lingo. I started wondering if I could do it too. I tried two other learning programs online and became frustrated and felt defeated. Then I saw an advertisement on a YouTube video for SheCodes and decided to check it out. I'm so glad I did! After watching the free introductory class I knew this was it for me and it would change my life. I signed up for all of the workshops and I can't wait to start SheCodes Plus! The short video lessons are the perfect way for me to learn and I love the challenges, homework, and deadlines! I need structure to keep me on track. SheCodes is great for coding beginners or people who want to brush up on their existing skills. I wanted to take the course to improve my knowledge with Java Script and I am so happy I did. Matt is a great teacher and knows how to break down HTML, CSS and Java Script for easy understanding.

The challenges are helpful to prepare us for the final project and I felt prepared to tackle the project with the lessons Matt provided.
