I really, absolutely and totally came from scratch on this ... This workshop helped me feel confident to get started, I was continually motivated by Matt and I can't wait to learn more :)

This is my third course and I can say that I truly enjoyed it all the way through. It was *definitely* more challenging but persistency is key and my understanding of it became apparent and utterly fulfilling. Once again, I would recommend it to anyone that wants to advance in coding as a career/profession and/or just a new skill to learn. Matt is a great instructor and his team are consistently there to help especially when something confusing arises and/or when you are stuck on a code. This is worth every penny. I cannot wait to start my next and final one after my break.
I was hesitant to join at first, as I'm new to coding, and I've got a toddler and a new born. I wasn't sure if I would be able to manage the workload or the complexity of coding; however, the course is broken down in small sections, and is easy to follow along. Matt is also a great instructor; he knows what he is doing and is able to simplify it all. Not to mention the amazing SheCodes team, who are always there to lend a helping hand. I'm really enjoying the course thus far, and I'm excited for the new opportunities that will open up to me.
I'd been thinking about taking a coding class for a while, but it was a little overwhelming not `knowing where to start. After seeing an ad for SheCodes and attending a free class, I decided to give it a shot. Matt was an awesome teacher and I enjoyed how each concept was broken down and the practice questions that came after. I also really appreciated the flexibility around completing the coursework since I work full-time. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I'm glad I gave it a shot. If you're on the fence, I'd say go for it! Thank you to everyone on the SheCodes team!

As a college student during the pandemic I have become well-versed in online classes. However, I've spent the last 5 months learning about HTML, CSS, JS, and React from SheCodes, and I learned more from these workshops than I did my entire freshman year at university. I have enjoyed these workshops so much. I can't believe it's finished!! I highly recommend them. Two months ago I had no idea what a function was, and I today I feel much closer to being able to ask for a job in the industry. A big shout out to Matt, he makes lessons fun, relaxed and also teaches to have patience while learning. It's not easy to teach technical stuff, but having the right teacher makes all the difference. This workshop is incredibly flexible and each module is very clear and understandable. The building blocks add up quickly and you will go from knowing nothing at all about coding (like me) to creating a formatted, interactive document from scratch. I'm really proud of myself for being able to do this in only a few weeks.
I highly recommend this course! I enjoyed coding step by step with Matt. He is great in explaining every aspects of the creation of the weather app from scratch. I am glad I did it and I cannot wait to keep going with the next SheCodes workshop.
So far i'm loving the courses and the way that Matt teaches. You have a great support system with the slack group. I look forward to seeing what pro has to offer. I have been utilizing other resources as well which I think helps the learning process, but it has been quite a seamless transition from a "somewhat tech driven nurse practitioner" to a now building my own sites! SheCodes Basics has been an awesome coding experience! I couldn't have asked for a better introduction with front-end development and coding overall. The workshop has been an eye-opening journey! I joined the free coding class without any specific expectations and enjoyed it so much that I ended up registering for the SheCodes basics course. I don't regret it at all, I would say I made a great decision because Matt explains everything making it look easy and that makes it more dynamic to learn. I also loved that in every lesson you get to practice what you learnt, which I believe is what makes you actually learn it. I personally liked coding because it is quite interactive and you also feel fulfilled when you see in a visual way what you created.

I had some knowledge of HTML and CSS since I meddled in coding and everyone had blogs in the 2000s. However, I knew nothing of Javascript and knew very little about the several aspects of CSS. In three weeks, I've learned so much. Matt is energetic and kind and explains things very, very well. I'm extremely excited for the next workshop!

What a fun and challenging journey it has been! I now understand why JS tends to give developers a headache 😅I have learned so much, and Matt managed to make all this information so much easier and fun to digest. SheCodes Basics was a wonderful workshop! Matt teaches in an easy-to-understand and clear way. The challenges at the end of the lessons and the final project were a lot of fun to complete. This was very enjoyable material to learn. The way Matt breaks down each week's topics makes keeping up with and digesting the material very easy. He is a great teacher. Also, making my own landing page felt amazing; seeing my page come to life and acknowledging that just 2 weeks ago I had no idea how to work with html, css and javascript... I'm just blown away. I'm really looking forward to the next set of workshops to build on my skills!!
Learning with SheCodes has been better than I expected. Matt explains everything in a way that anyone could understand. I joined SheCodes because I want to build a skill while also being creative. I loved taking Matt's course and he explains things a lot better than other resources and I've tried several while self-learning. I think it's great how I can always refer back to SheCodes for learning resources. He simplifies a complex process and makes coding exciting! It is also great that the SheCodes team can help everyone figure out their errors and correct themselves versus struggling to fix the code which could take much longer, save yourself the time and stress and take the course!
After finishing SheCodes Basics, I got a message from Matt asking what my next steps were in my coding journey. I had already enrolled in a longer Full-Stack bootcamp so I told him that I had only planned on taking the SheCodes Basics workshop as an intro into coding. Well, a few weeks into the longer bootcamp and I missed Matt's teaching style and the layout of SheCodes so much that I signed up for SheCodes Plus and attempted both courses at the same time! 😍 Not only was SheCodes Plus an amazing experience that grew my knowledge and confidence in coding, but it helped me understand concepts I was also learning in my longer bootcamp. I can't say enough good things about SheCodes. Will I sign up for SheCodes Responsive next, even though I am still in my bootcamp? The answer is probably, most likely! 😄 Thank you SheCodes! 🙌
I really enjoyed learning about coding with this course! Everything was explained so clearly with such great videos. Each challenge was definitely a "challenge" but Matt taught everything in such a way that I was fully prepared to tackle anything. I also really appreciated the support provided on slack and to feel connected to a community. I am really considering enrolling in the SheCodes Pro!!

Started from SheCodes Basics to React, by far this was the most challenging course. No doubt the learning curve for React was steep, at times the new concepts and functions were hard to grasp. However, Matt's videos always made easier to comprehend. I can't believe that I was able to build 2 React apps within 8 weeks! Looking forward to what's coming next
Did it again! I love and look forward to every lesson on SheCodes. With the amazing SheCode team and Matt's calm voice helped me go through this Plus workshop. It has been challenging but also, fulfilling. I'm super excited. I now, have stop doubting myself and it feels like I can do anything! Now moving on to React.....
These first couple of weeks of SheCodes Basics has been awesome, I really enjoyed learning the basics of how to create a landing page! The final project was lots of fun and provides a great feeling of accomplishment! 😊 Matt is passionate about what he does and an excellent teacher, breaking down the workshop into understandable and well-structured bite-sized lessons! Keeps you interested and wanting to learn more! There is a great team of mentors to provide guidance if you get stuck. I think so far this was my favorite workshop! I loved learning about the responsiveness and getting insight on how homepage layouts change on mobile devices as well as SEO - something we use every day. I really haven't put too much thought into how all of this actually works so far but it was really, really interesting to learn and actually not as difficult as I thought it would be. Matt is a great teacher and I can't believe how much I have learned in just a couple months. There is one last workshop to complete for me and I am really excited to unlock even more skills and knowledge!

Amazing!! it's such a great feeling to know I have learned a new skill and with it can create projects like the Weather App. There are many pros to SheCodes, but the one thing I absolutely love about it is the fact that Matt teaches with real-life examples.

I love SheCodes! Matt makes everything very easy to understand and even when I get stuck, other members are on Slack who might be having the same issue and you will find what you need. Matt even encourages you to google when you can't find an answer on Slack. I've only gotten stuck twice and found the solution easily by ways of Slack or a simple google search. The homework and projects are a great way to put everything I've learned into action and it's fun for me at the same time. Thank you, SheCodes!
My SheCodes journey was incredible and it's just the beginning! Matt's voice is highly addictive, lessons are short and sweet, all little projects along the way are motivators and the support team is always there. When I did the challenges, I barely needed to check for similar problems, I think that Matt explains every lesson perfectly and in a way that everyone can understand, and I think it's exactly what a beginner needs.

My coding journey over the course of the 4 workshops has been incredible. React definitely has a steep learning curve but once you've gotten a grasp of the concepts, it really empowers you to build cleaner, elegant projects. I've learned so much and while I still need to learn a lot more to have marketable skills, I'm confident in continuing my studies. Thank you Matt and SheCodes team for all your support!
It was a great introduction to see if coding was for me. It was easy enough to follow Matt's directions but with enough challenge to make you feel comfortable enough to find the solution yourself. This program not only taught me basic coding but also gave me confidence to continue learning to code and apply new jobs.
Great course! It was fun and informative, and Matt is always quick to give little pieces of advice (like knowing when a feature is too complicated to be worth your time!). This course structure wasn't quite as smooth as Basics, but people were always ready to clear up confusion on Slack. SheCodes is very flexible! It's great, but if you're someone who needs a lot of structure and encouragement/accountability to finish something, expect that you'll have to seek it out. It is absolutely available on Slack, but you need to seek it out, no babysitting here :-)
