After finishing the Basics course, I was ready to dive in deeper and learn. Now that I have completed Plus I am ready to refine and improve my newly learned skills! These courses are a great way to teach yourself (through the lovely guidance of Matt and the SheCodes team) to code! I am so happy I took to leap and tried out SheCodes. I am now into the next course, here I come Responsive. :3
I took SheCodes Plus immediately after the Basic course. And it was a smooth next-level. Again, Matt has been a great guide through the labyrinth of code and its creation logic. All his tips and guidelines prove to be 100% correct - it pays off to be patient, test own code constantly and stop for a while if you hit the wall. Seeing the final app, maybe not the most beautiful by design, but fully functional makes me proud. I did program it myself and I want more!! :)
The responsive workshop has been very challenging for me, I had to spent a lot of patience to work on the small details of my portfolio website. But I liked that Matt gives so much freedom to create your own personal website and at the same time gives many helpful and inspiring advices for the process!
I love learning new things and discovering how things 'work'. Coding has been on my to 'explore' list for a very long time, but I didn't know where to start. Most online courses seem to assume you have some kind of background in coding, and I didn't want to spend a small fortune or the time commitment required to attend a formal coding bootcamp, in case I didn't enjoy coding after all. I'm so glad I came across the SheCodes add on Instagram. In SheCodes Basics, Matt teaches the very basic fundamentals of coding, and slowly builds from there. He doesn't assume you know what he's talking about but takes the time to explain the concepts with lots of examples. I can't wait to continue learning and building on the knowledge and skills I've acquired from this course.

I didn't know anything about coding, but with SheCodes I was able to learn many things in such a short time. Matt is an awesome instructor and he explains every subject very well. I highly recommend SheCodes to all the women who want to learn coding perfectly.

I would highly recommend this course, the lessons are simple, short and sweet. The challenges and homework elements ensure you are putting what you learn into practice. The fact the course has deadlines to stick to (and cost actual $$) means you are motivated to continue, compared with free information online which is often difficult to source, digest and put into practice! Matt explains things really well and I am so pleased to have another item to add to my coding portfolio!
I did it! All four courses, what a wild ride it was and it was all thanks to Matt and the SheCodes team for making me absolutely love the whole process. The past 6 months in lockdown in Melbourne has been very productive and I think I nailed it so I'm definitely looking forward to more courses in the future as a very proud SheCodes alumni. What exciting couple of weeks continuing my SheCodes journey and completing the SheCodes Plus workshop! π Learning how to use Bootstrap for structuring and changing the layout of webpages in an easier way, Git & GitHub for version control and Netlify for hosting webpages. I enjoyed the step-by-step process of building my own fully functional weather application, leaning how to use APIs and designing it the way I liked. Once again thank you Matt and team for the awesome workshop from which I learned lots! I would highly recommended the SheCodes Plus workshop for anyone who would like to learn more about Front-End Development. I am looking forward to continuing with the SheCodes Responsive workshop! π

When I started SheCodes, I was in the middle of a career transition as a new mom and I had no idea what to expect. Would I like coding? Would this be something I could make into a career or profitable side hobby/job? I took the free 60-minute pre-course and right away I loved Matt's teaching style. I signed up for the Basic class and became so obsessed I completed it in a week! Now, I have completed my fourth and final (hopefully for now) course and have decided to go full-time into the tech industry. Thanks to SheCodes I was able to start my own freelance business (Tsunoda Stylings) and help train new graduates looking for job experience to put on their resumes. This has been one of the most challenging but rewarding training workshops/camps I have been through and I would do it all over again. I can't recommend SheCodes enough and I thank you for giving me the opportunity to push to start this new journey of mine.
I have learned so much being a part of SheCodes. After completing SheCodes Basics, I went on to sign up for SheCodes Plus, and I plan to finish Responsive and React! I am constantly amazed at how much I have learned and how I have grown. I started out with no coding knowledge or experience and can now read, write, and understand code. Matt is such a great teacher! I absolutely love how he breaks down each new concept and how each lesson builds on the other.

I really loved the 3 weeks spent on the Basics course! It was well paced and Matt was a great teacher. He broke down the concepts into digestible short videos that were easy to follow. Before applying for coding, I was not completely sure that I'll understand coding very well at this coding workshop. I also suggest this workshop to my friends who were looking for coding. I'm also glad that a person who create this website is to encourage women to be a part of technological field. I would say that it was so great full to learning from Matt. He did a great job over all. I understand him very well, the way he teaches.
I started with SheCodes Basics a few months back and really enjoyed the class and everything I was learning, Matt does a good job of explaining things and letting you see his work as he goes. I've made the time to go through the current three other courses available. Finishing SheCodes Plus was challenging, but really fun and I feel more aware of what goes on behind the curtain now. I look forward to starting SheCodes Responsive and React next!
I have learned so much so far! Matt has done a great job designing this responsive course. He does well explaining . I really enjoy the video speed feature! Matt provides plenty of resources to help! Slack is a great asset. Your questions are answered quickly. I have searched specific questions many times and have always been able to find the answer from other students challenges and homework assigments. That is another great feature, that you are able to view other student's work! I benefit greatly from seeing other code. I may be a coding-newb, but SheCodes has brought me to another level! Keep calm - Code on!

The format of the course makes it really easy to manage and play out each lesson. Yet Matt doesn't always disclose everything you need to know, prompting you to think and learn to find solutions. This course is fun, creative and has opened a world of future possibilities.
This workshop has proven to be extremely helpful and user friendly. I highly recommend this program to anybody who is brand new to coding as Matt's teaching method is the most coherent and comprehensive out there. He simplifies the material very effectively making learning both fun and engaging.
Gets a little challenging sometimes but Matt's videos are very detailed and with the use of slack I was able to gain and learn more throughout this course.

SheCodes is an easy and enjoyable way to start your coding journey. Matt explains everything very understandably and the challenges and projects really make you use the learned theoritcal knowledge.
The lessons are quick and easy to follow. I've managed to complete this 3 week course as well as working a 42 hour job, going to the gym and having a social life. Matt explains clearly and in a good level of detail so that you can follow and remember the steps. I feel like I have obtained a great knowledge from the basic course which I can apply in my career going forwards.
I really loved working on my portfolio. Sometimes it was very challenging but Matt explained everything so well. Thank you so much!

I have attended the classroom workshop for SheCodes Basic back in 2019 (Lisbon) and before starting SheCodes Plus had doubts about it being online but enjoyed it as much as the classroom one. It was an (really!) intense 8 weeks, long nights, so much to learn, apply and submit but at the same time had great fun and enjoyed it a lot. Incredible beginner-friendly course with a great teacher. Matt explains things clearly and teaches you how to think not just what to do. I have learned a ton, had a lot of fun, and increased my web development abilities and confidence. I created my own Weather App! I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to start their journey toward web development.
Learning with SheCodes is fun! The videos and challenges are well tailored, perfectly divided into manageable bits and the course material is so nicely structured, clear and straightforward. I simply loved progressing further in the lessons building towards the final project. Matt is very good in explaining the topics and the team helping via Slack is doing a fantastic job answering any additional questions. It's so nice to move forward with the learning material at the own pace while still feeling perfectly guided. It was a real joy to learn about APIs, Netlify, Git and so much more in this course.
This course was a great introduction to React for me! There was a lot of information and new things to learn, but it was divided into manageable lessons that made it easy to progress steadily without being overwhelmed. Matt shows everything step by step, which I really appreciated.

I cannot believe how much I have accomplished in a few short weeks. I have come from a nursing background so this is all completely brand new to me. Matt breaks lessons down into small and achievable sessions so it's not too overwhelming and gives you plenty of opportunity to practice. I keep showing my friends and family what I can do already and they cannot believe it as I am really not a 'techy' person. Anyone who is nervous about taking that first step, don't be! You won't regret it :)

What a ride! I have to admit that the JS-part of SheCodes Plus was very tricky and I needed to rewatch Matt's instructions over and over again. Also having access to the source code helped as a last resort sometimes (damn you, missing semicolons and curly brackets!). But ultimately I overcame those difficulties and now I am super happy (and super proud) to have my own personal weather application! I really enjoyed coding alongside Matt again and can't wait to continue with SheCodes Responsive. Thanks βββββ!

Great first step into coding. Covers the very basic notions of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I liked Matt's explanations a lot. It's nice to have deadlines and small tasks along the way to practice. Since it's cheap, basic, flexible and well explained, I definitely recommend to enrol without thinking twice about it for those who don't know how to begin their coding journey. I had done several free 1h online coding classes before, including SheCode's, so the whole workshop seemed pretty intuitive. I got all 3 weeks done in 4 days and then took more time to submit the final project.
