I work in Training and Enablement, I am completely virtual since March 2020 and I frequently look for new ways to sharpen my tools. This workshop is so enlightening on the basics of coding and Matt makes it so easy to understand. I will definitely be using all the skills that I learned in this course when creating eLearning content for my learners. Thank you Matt and the entire Shecodes Team!
The SheCodes Pro workshop allowed me to build a weather app from scratch and I couldn't be more thankful to have Matt as an instructor. Also a huge thanks to the SheCodes assistants for answering my questions along the way! I am excited to continue my coding journey with SheCodes.
SheCodes Plus was a bit more challenging than SheCodes basic, but Matt's style of teaching, along with the help available on Slack, and various tips from Matt and team along the way helped me stay focused and motivated to finish the course.
10/10 This workshop is 100% recommended. I was looking for a career change and decided to take the intro course to better understand web development. I learned a lot about coding and I'm definitely loving it! Matt is very clever and simplifies the steps which makes everything easier to understand.
So far so good! This has been a challenge, in a good way. I am happy to have step out of my comfort zone and I am excited for what is to come in the next levels. Matt's devotion and just overall kindness is contagious and even though my interaction in Slack was minimal, it was very nice to know that I had support if needed and that I am surrounded by a bunch of clever women.
If you think that coding is not for you because you may lack strong mathematical skills - you are wrong! Getting to the basics of coding for someone working in the health care was super fun and pretty easy with all the help from SheCodes staff and, obviously - Matt! Matt made the lessons very easy to understand and enjoyed the challenges. I do believe though, that if you have a decent amount of HTML or CSS knowledge, the basic workshop would not be necessary for you to complete.
SheCodes React is an amazing course. It's challenging, lots to learn, but once you complete it, you'll feel accomplished and have so much more knowledge in such a short amount of time. Matt explains things very well. He is real and will show you that even an advanced developer still has much to learn. Loved this course!

I've been curious about coding since 1 year ago, when a friend gave me a glimpse of what front-end development was. Following this introduction, I started looking for online courses so I could learn without abdicating from my daily (and full-time) job as physiotherapist. I tried many different online resources, but it was when I stumbled upon SheCodes on Instagram that my interest started to feel like an actual career possibility as I was reading the different testimonies. The start of the course was exhilarating to me: after working from 9am to 5pm, I would come home excited to learn new things at the rhythm of Mattβs explanations. What I thought could be a hard thing to reconcile - my daily job and the coding assignments - turned out to be quite affordable (not only in price but also) in self-motivation to do more and better. Overall the course is simple, organized, well-explained, inexpensive and gives me lots of tools far from the coding itself as I learned how to Google my obstacles away in a productive manner. Furthermore, I think itβs great to know that you are not alone in the learning process, as there are many others sharing their own doubts on slack! I completely recommend this course, especially for people in the same situation as myself who have found an interest and would love to explore it without compromising their current economic safety :)
The SheCodes video classes and their other resources are amazing, and the team is extremely helpful. Matt's videos are very easy to follow and I love the fact that they are not scripted so we can learn even more from him as he films himself coding in real-time with all the inherent challenges. Another plus is Matt always shows us the best coding practices, even when he says: "You don't have to do this but I highly recommend (...)" π So I can't recommend this workshop enough for people who are beginning their coding journey like me. It is a bliss!!
SheCodes workshops guided me into an awesome coding experience without having prior knowledge in web development. I am grateful I started to learn coding and decided to invest in myself graduating SheCodes React course. Matt is a great instructor, easy to follow and the lessons and challenges keep you motivated and eager to code more. I really enjoyed learning React, building applications which can be challenging, but extremely rewarding. I was hesitant to bite the bullet and join but I am SO GLAD I did. Previously, I did do a quick HTML/CSS coding course but there's something different about SheCodes. Matt's teaching style is easy to understand and the challenges really help you master what is being taught. The Slack community is also very helpful if you're confused or need help! Being able to take things at my pace and my own time and being able to review the videos was especially great. I will be recommending SheCodes to anyone I know!

I found this such an accessible introduction to coding and it was really satisfying to be able to see what could be produced from the very first lesson. I love SheCodes! I love learning all the new aspects of becoming a Software Engineer and I'm hoping I can get a job in the field, once I have completed the courses. SheCodesPlus opens a new world for bigenners. In this workshop you can learn more advance css and javascript, how you can use Apis to get useful data and you learn about git and hosting. Final Project shows how you can build an useful app with the workshops content. Matt explains everything very good but It is very important to practice what matt teaches. With this workshop you can completely build practical websites.
It has been an interesting workshop,I have learnt a lot in a short while.This is the first coding workshop I have completed due to the structure of the course and also Matt's teaching method. I also love the fact that you can always ask for help on Slack.It was also easy for me considering that I work part time and have three kids. I am excited to start SheCodes Responsive!
SheCodes Plus workshop deepened my understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I must admit the Javascript part was quite challenging while learning about APIs, but once you understand it and see how powerful it is, you get excited and want to learn more. Wow...I never imagined that I would learn how to code so quickly! I hated it when I was a kid in school (I couldn't understand it lol), but this time around I really enjoyed learning it from start to finish. I am amazed at how much fun I had learning, even when it was challenging (the SheCodes radio was a lifesaver lol). I am so glad I stumbled upon the ad for SheCodes on Instagram. Matt is an excellent teacher and the resources available are so helpful! I am so very much looking forward to SheCodes Plus and where this knowledge will take me next. I went into this workshop with what was probably negative coding knowledge. I finished Basics in about a week and a half, and I loved it! Matt explains everything in a way that is easy to understand, and if that's not the case for you, there is SO much support from the community! I'm excited to work up to my SheCodes Plus course!

Finally finished the last course offered by SheCodes! REACT was a super fun course where I have learned a lot. It had it's tricky moments but I certainly enjoyed every step of it. Alongside the help from Matt, the team, as well as other students, I have managed to learn a lot. I never thought I would be able to develop both an weather app AND a dictionary app. This was a really fun trajectory!
Once I had completed SheCodes Basics, I was so excited to start SheCodes Pro! It has been a great course with a big focus on front-end development and API integration. Coding is something I've dreamed of doing since my awesome dad let me see the first Matrix movie as a little girl. I always knew I had it in me but the path to get there seemed daunting. I liked the fact that the course had structure and deadlines. Really helpful in making sure I kept up with the course. The support team was brilliant and amazing at what they do. I did find bits of it slow or tedious - but I actually enjoyed the final project. I will be continuing on to the next course. would recommend for complete beginners. the way Matt talks you through step by step really helps you focus. 3 months ago I didn't even know how to write a single line of HTML and now I've created 4 projects with SheCodes! I just turned 42- you are never to old to start something new. Matt and the SheCodes team are absolutely amazing. This is unlike any other bootcamp or workshop you may have tried before. The video's are structured in a way that anyone can learn. The community of teaching assistants Slack and other students are always there to help with any questions. The timing of the workshops can be done around any schedule - work, school kids if you have 15 minutes you have time for SheCodes. Learning how to code had been on my list for a while now. I had tried it already in the past but somehow didn't feel motivated to continue. Matt teaches you as well as possible, It's gonna be a fun journey and also full of learning. After years of debating what kind of coding course would be right for me, I couldn't be happier with my decision to go with SheCodes. I am extremely impressed by how thorough, clear, and fun Matt makes all of the lessons - I genuinely look forward to watching the next lesson and tackling something new. The structure of the course provides a wonderful balance between learning a little bit in each lesson but also moving through an entire chapter of content each week. I never feel overwhelmed with how much I'm learning in each lesson, and yet by the end of the week I feel accomplished and like I've covered some good ground. I couldn't recommend this course enough for those who are feeling on the fence about learning code. I didn't think the experience of learning code could be so fun, and I think you'll find the same thing to be true!
SheCodes Basics is a very excellent beginning step towards the world of tech. It was a very organized workshop. The material and projects were fun to work on, and I appreciate how helpful and informative Matt was. I'm a 23-year-old college 'dropout' who was lost about the career I wanted to pursue in my future. After discovering what computer programming really consisted of, and starting to learn it by myself, I found SheCodes and I am so thankful that I did. SheCodes was a fun way to learn a useful skill! The deadlines are helpful to keep on track, but you're also able to work ahead if you like or get an extension if need be. The course is broken up into manageable mini-lessons, all of which are clean and concise. I honestly thought coding would involve some combination of complex physics and math but after I attended the workshop, I thought differently. I got curious and signed up for SheCodes Basics and I was blown away by how fun coding could be. The Plus workshop was fun, but also challenging at times. However, whenever you run into a problem you can always count on Matt's colleagues or other students to patiently look into it and explain what can be done better. All in all, it was a great experience and I learned a lot, so I would definitely recommend!
The Basics workshop was so much fun! Thank you, SheCodes, for making coding fun to learn and accessible. The material is well-organized and strikes just the right balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application. I especially appreciate Matt's knack as a teacher 1) to frame the concepts in clear and memorable terms, 2) to pace how quickly new material gets introduced and digested, and 3) to tailor explanations pragmatically to what we need to know yet without dumbing any of it down merely because we're neophytes. I do love these courses, but again, I would have had NO idea how to build this website without following along with Matt step-by-step. I'm not sure how I'll be able to utilize this course for getting a job in the future, despite having a portfolio (that again, I would have never been able to build if I didn't just follow along). I come from a health care background looking to transition to the digital and technological world. I saw many opportunities for bootcamps, self-paced studies, and other coding resources but what I loved about SheCodes is that it gave me structure. I am well capable of learning on my own, but because I am so new to the industry, I didn't know where to even start. SheCodes Basic was an amazing experience. The lectures are very straightforward and filled with all the information you will need to succeed in completing all the lesson challenges and final project. The video lectures never got too long and monotonous, Matt did a great job organizing and blocking certain topics and following it up with a hands on challenge. He also gave the solutions after each challenge with the opportunity to resubmit and correct your work if necessary. Help was always available through the Slack chat and a team member always responded within a timely manner. This course was a great introduction to solidifying my future plans. I will be continuing this journey and diving in deeper! Thank you Matt and Team for helping me understand this whole new world of computer language!

Matt is able to teach coding in an enjoyable and fun way. The short lessons make it possible to learn at your own pace and with every homework you submit you get a feeling of success. Being able to present an actual working "webpage" in the end makes it even better!
Matt's teaching style is laid-back but efficient. Love that you can get support from the team or your fellow coders. Everyone is supportive. Loved the whole experience.
