React is not an easy technology and in the beggining I was having a hard time getting used to it, but when you get the hang of it, it's great! I did this course while working and still didn't feel very tired because the way it is structured allows you to go at your own pace but to still have clear objectives. For people who want to learn how to code and have no experience, this is a great place to learn. Matt and the team are great, always ready to help.

SheCodes has been an amazing journey. SheCodes Basics has simply been the best place for me to actually learn the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Simply amazing! I cant believe I learned how to code a basic webpage in two and a half weeks. The last time I ever manipulated a HTML was to add music on MySpace in 2005. I did not think that I would be able to pick up this skill so quickly but with Matt's guidance and thorough explanation through each solution I was able to practice and produce a functional visible code starting from a blank page.

I’ve always wanted to learn web development and chose SheCodes because it allowed me to learn anytime. As a full time working parent, finding an online course that I could fit into my schedule was really important. I was able to learn a lot and put it together to create project, something I wasn’t able to do with other online tutorials. Matthew does a great job of explaining everything. I would highly recommend.

I really enjoyed the SheCodes basics workshop and will continue with the SheCodes Plus course! I wanted to learn to code for the longest time but none of the courses online appealed to me. Then I found SheCodes! I would highly recommend everybody that has interest in learning how to code to join the free coding class. The way the course is structured and explained (Matt is a GREAT teacher!!) is what convinced me, during the week you have exercises to do and you end the week with homework you have to send in. You learn by doing it yourself but you have a wonderful team and community to help you if when you are stuck! I also think that SheCodes have a great mission as a company, inspiring more women to enter the Tech industry!

Is it possible to work full-time and do a SheCodes course? Yes, but you have to put in the extra work and you have to code every week, at least every second day to stay inside the loop. This is my second SheCodes course and I really enjoy learning with Matt’s videos. Things start to get a little more complicated now, but I am excited about what’s coming next and how everything I’ve learned is intertwining. Coding is creative and code is poetry.

SheCodes basic is a great way to learn what coding is. Some tasks almost drove me crazy, but Matt's repetition that coding is fun kept me going. Some tasks include elements which were not talked about in the videos. This was a great way to use learned information. I am thankful to Matt and the Team for this course!

Matt's instructional videos were short, but concise and easy to follow. I loved that there is a community to ask for help and that after you submit and assignment there is a video with the solution for you to check your work.

Matt is a good teacher. You can feel he is passionate about coding in his teaching. (no teacher can be better than one who loves what he's doing!) Class content is well-structured and -designed, one thing at a time, many practical techniques are taught. The way how each specific code works is explained clearly.
