The SheCodes Responsive course reinforced knowledge I had already learnt in previous modules, taught me new techniques and most importantly, made me realise how much stuff I have left to learn. During this course, I had to try to come to terms with the fact that I will never know everything and that learning to code will always be an ongoing process that can be frustrating and rewarding at the same time. Matt and the SheCodes team were always ready to help and made the journey worthwhile. Can't wait to continue my learning journey with SheCodes!

Wow! I am filled with so much joy for completing the SheCodes Plus, I must confess that it was challenging though as a beginner in the coding career in the midst of taking care of my baby girl and the sister of 2 years plus. It can only be God. Seeing myself building a Weather App gave me so much joy even with the help of the SheCodes Team making sure they put us in order where we can't figure some problems. Highly recommended for anyone who has ever wanted to try out coding but felt overwhelmed not having prerequisite knowledge and didn't know where to begin. SheCodes Basic was great. I got interested in coding few months ago and first I tried some online tutorials but got demotivated quickly because there was too much information and not enough examples or exercises. Matt explains everything in an easy, fun and concise way, you get to try everything in the exercises, you learn where to look for when you are stuck, and it even helped me to think outside the box. That's how you get motivated to learn more and code every day :)
I really liked the course. Short and clear videos made learning enjoyable, constant support helped to believe that everything would work out. Let me start off by saying that this experience learning from Shecodes has changed my life forever! I was never that kid who loved the computer growing up; that was my younger sister. I studied music while she went on to become a successful Program Developer. I would always watch her work and felt like it was too hard for me to ever understand; coding was out of my league. When I saw this opportunity come up, I became excited. I started reading all the stories of people who changed their careers after taking the classes and knew I wanted the same opportunity. I started with the basic introductory video, and I was HOOKED!! I found myself talking to anyone who would listen about my Shecodes experience. I called my sister, and she was so excited for me. I was asking questions about coding and we’re bonding even closer because of it. Learning something new, especially at an older age can be frightening. I’m telling you that Shecodes is an experience that every new student should experience. Matt does an incredible job explaining the details so when its time to show your work through homework, you feel confident. React was definitely more difficult than the rest of the sections, but was definitely worth it, and Matt made it easy to follow along. I'm incredibly glad I did this course, as it's taught me a lot, now hoping Ill be able to get a job from this.
Programming was something I never saw myself capable of doing. I had mistaken ideas about my suitability for it that were dissolved by Matt's first introductory session, ie the day I became obsessed with wanting to code. The SheCodes Basics Course has motivated me everyday to learn, practice and understand better. The lessons are clear, the challenges and homework concretise the knowledge gained and are challenging enough without being daunting! The team is on hand always to help out, and the female community is absolutely fantastic and so encouraging.

SheCodes Plus was a great course! It was more challenging, but still really doable! It was easy to follow Matt's instructions and having to apply it to your own project. Ofcourse, sometimes I struggled a bit but that is exactly what you need when you are learning a new skill. I loved working on an actual real-life project, while learning to use a professional way of setting up a new programming project.
I barely knew anything about coding before this workshop, but now I understand much more and feel less intimidated. The way the workshop is set up (with lessons, challenges, homework) and how it's completed in your own time is super helpful. "Wow, very sophisticated, very powerful and very tricky!" - that's what I thought every single day learning React. I found the explanations a bit too fast from time to time but with a little research I was able to figure it out. Even though, I think that React is not really for me, as always the course gave me lots of interesting and fascinating insights into the world of coding which I value a lot, just like my whole coding journey - so thanks a lot, Matt and the SheCodes team 👌!

I attended a free SheCodes class at a really low point in the pandemic for my mental health; After the free workshop I became increasingly interested in the career possibilities of a switch to working in tech. The flexibility of SheCodes allows me to work toward a dedicated goal, without entirely consuming my life. SheCodes opened up a whole new world for me. Matt does a great job explaining difficult concepts in an simple way. I didn't know if coding was for me or not, which is why I only took the basic course but I learned a lot about coding in just 3 weeks. I'm definitely considering a career as developer now. I really enjoyed completing all the assignments and don't regret spending a single dime on this workshop. Definitely recommend it if you are curious about coding but aren't sure if it's for you.
This was my first venture into coding. I wasn't really sure what to expect but I had a lot of fun. I like the way the course is set up with lessons, challenges and homework. I found it relatively easy to follow along, Matt explains things very well. All in all it was a great entry course. It really leaves you wanting to learn more!

I had a great time learning everything from CSS to HTML to responsive to react. React is hard but Matt does a great job of breaking it down and making it understandable and exciting to learn. I feel very comfortable moving forward into the world of front end development.

I am glad to have applied for shecodes foundation. I learnt the basics of HTML, CSS and Javascript and it was a fun experience. I started SheCodes Basic with no coding skills whatsoever. In just three weeks I learned enough to build a functional (and nice looking) landing page, which I find absolutely amazing! The course is well paced and neither too difficult or too easy. Matt teaches you foundations of coding that you can easily expand after completing the course!

I had no previous coding experience and was able to learn enough HTML, CSS and JavaScript in the Basics Workshop to build a webpage. I learned well with Matt's video lessons combined with the weekly homework. It's been really cool to see the endless possibilities and I'm excited that this is only the beginning.
Loved learning JS more in depth and playing around with APIs. Although this course was more difficult than the last, Matt does a great job with showing you how to build the project from scratch to finish.

Lessons where very detailed and well guided by Matt. Learnt so much from just 5 weeks! Am extremely happy that I am able to produce my own portfolio page where i can showcase to my future employers.
I completed the SheCodes Basics program with a working knowledge of basic HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I am able to create a basic, functioning, interactive webpage. I had tried a free coding camp previously but the content was not suited to my learning style, and they did not show us how to use actual coding tools such as VS Code and Colorzilla. I finished that course feeling more confused than when I started, online with SheCodes, where I actually learned useful things that I will be able to apply irl outside of the courses. The SheCodes course material is perfectly suited to my visual learning style, and being able to go back and reference the videos at any time, as well as work alongside them in real-time in VS Code, was extremely helpful. I feel confident in my knowledge and abilities. The Slack group is also an amazing resource and any question I asked was answered within an hour. There is a big sense of community and teamwork, and it is clear that everyone wants each other to succeed. I started the SheCodes Plus course this week and have already learned even more! What I really love about the experience is that I came into it not really knowing anything about computers, and thinking it would be hard to learn. However, Matt and the SheCodes team have created a program that is easy to learn, just the right amount of challenging, and most of all, fun! I will absolutely be recommending SheCodes to any woman in my life who may be interested in learning how to code. Its an amazing and extremely fun experience, and I cant wait to learn even more!

SheCodes has meant a lot to me. I have had coding in the back of my mind for a long time, yet I was too scared and intimidated to dive into it. I've watched many 1-2 hour short webinars about different disciplines in coding (PM, QA, etc.), yet they all looked too complicated without having a prior foundation. The moment I watched Matt Delac's ''Free Coding Class'' it felt different. I was more capable of following along, and I was actually understanding. I even found it fun! I'm so glad I went for 3-week basic class, and I now feel more empowered, confident and able to take the next lessons!

Those quick easy wins are euphoric and give you the momentum to push past any troubling moments while you are learning. Matt has a great energy. He gives the tools you need to complete the assignments and projects in a way that is exciting. I really enjoyed Matt's teaching style when learning during the Basics Course! He was able to explain the material very well and thoroughly. I didn't know where to start when it came to trying to teach myself how to code and was always on the fence about the FREE coding class in itself. But after listening Matt breakdown the curriculum step-by-step, I joined a free workshop and signed up for the Basics course the same day!
After SheCodes Basics convinced me to continue on my coding journey. The lessons are very well structured in short videos followed by a mini challenge. Matt does a great job of explaining everything so it's super easy to follow. I also appreciate the speed his team has in answering questions in Slack. I tried this out just because it looked interesting and I had been casually learning how to code with different apps. This course showed me that 1) it's not as hard as I thought it would be and 2) I really enjoy coding! As a painter by trade, I was under the impression that coding is for "math-y, smart people" but coding is like a huge puzzle that you put together and ultimately design a different kind of artwork. Matt breaks down different steps and concepts into very manageable chunks of information that easily build on top of each other. I am so grateful to SheCodes for opening this door in my life and showing me another opportunity!

I am very surprised at how much I learned during this workshop. Many of the topics in SheCodes Plus were completely new to me and while I may not be 100% comfortable with them, I am not completely lost either. Matt did an amazing job of explaining the process and walking through this with us step-by-step. I couldn't ask for a better teacher!
