if/else statements are used in JavaScript to make decisions based on certain conditions.

} else {
// run this block of code if the 'if' condition is not met
}
For example, if we want to check if a number is greater than 10, we could use an if/else statement like this:

if (num > 10) {
console.log("The number is greater than 10");
} else {
console.log("The number is less than or equal to 10");
}
This code will output "The number is greater than 10", since num is greater than 10.

In JavaScript, you can use a simple if/else statement to check a variable against a list of possible values.
For example:
