"I recently completed the basic Workshop on SheCodes, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. As someone entirely new to coding, I was initially intimidated by the idea of learning a new skill online. However, the courses provided by SheCodes were incredibly well-structured and easy to follow. Matt did an excellent job of breaking down complex concepts into simple, digestible lessons. Each module built upon the previous one, gradually expanding my understanding of coding fundamentals. The hands-on exercises and projects were particularly helpful in solidifying my knowledge and giving me practical experience. One aspect I appreciated the most was the flexibility of the platform. As a busy professional, I needed a learning solution that could adapt to my schedule, and SheCodes delivered just that. I could access the course materials anytime, anywhere, allowing me to learn at my own pace without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. The SheCodes team on Slack are also very hands on and responded to my questions promptly without any judgement. Slack was also useful in exploring and appreciating the challenges fellow learners were going through, and seeking solutions to the problems. NB: I found most of the solutions to the challenges I faced already asked and answered to on Slack!😎 Thanks to the SheCodes, I now have a solid foundation to build upon. I would highly recommend the workshops to anyone looking to start their coding journey, and I am definitely moving on to SheCodes Plus!

This was an excellent starter course for people with no prior coding experience. The training videos are easy enough to follow along and comprehensive. I personally really enjoyed the repetitious coding challenges put in to place to make sure I understood what I had learned and to help retain information. Matt did an excellent job instructing in this workshop, keeping me engaged with lessons being short and to the point.

React was the most challenging of the workshops for me, But trust Matt to always explain concepts so well to make it easily understandable. React was the most challenging of the workshops for me. However, instructor Matt did a great job of explaining the concepts. He definitely has a gift for teaching! The project was a valuable tool for reinforcing the concepts. It is great to have a product to showcase what I learned.

SheCodes was a game-changer for me! I've done HTML, CSS, and javascript in high School and during my first year of uni but Matt was by the best instructor and made everything so simple to understand. I definitely enjoyed this course. The information is well put together in a way that is really easy to understand and being able to schedule when you want to start your lessons and delay them really made things so efficient for me as a student so I can work on my own pace and not feel overwhelmed.
A great way to refresh your understanding of the basics and take it one step further. Matt teaches how powerful HTML, CSS, and JS can be when building your website. The Add-On was a good investment.

SheCodes helped me understand code better than any program I ever attended. The pace was was great for someone like me who works around the clock with law enforcement. I have always wanted to learn how to code. Fortunately for me, I Came across SheCodes on Tiktok. The sign-up process was relatively easy and they took about a week to respond. I enjoyed the Basics workshop so much. Matt made everything so easy to understand and apply. Also you can work at your own pace , so if you are a busy person like me, you don't have to worry .I am looking forward to the other workshops.
What a blast! Another great addition. Despite having some prior Python experience, Matt's teaching really made things click for me. Revisiting the weather app project in Python was a highlight—it was both fun and practical. Overall, I feel much more confident in my coding abilities now. If you're considering learning Python, SheCodes is definitely the way to go!
Awesome classes & more challenging, but when you really watch the videos and listen to Matt, it gets easier and more understandable. I throughly enjoyed learning about GitHub, APIs and JavaScript.

I would recommend this course to anyone because even though it's not "necessary", it gives you a chance to work on important things to help you land a job, like your website or resume. Matt also gives some good advice on how to contact employers, this course taught me some things I wished they taught me in college. Whether, if I get a job in tech or not I'm still grateful to SheCodes because it gave me a new skill. But still here's hoping on landing a new job.🤞

Doing this part of the course was very challenging, the tasks became more complex, but through the homework projects given, each challenge got better. I highly recommend practicing same time when Matt is explaining to ensure full understanding.

This was the toughest course from SheCodes by far! Not cause of Matt's teaching, but because React is difficult. The course is broken into bite size chunks and I'm really proud that I managed to make a working React Weather App by the end <3

I started off as a complete beginner not knowing a thing. I decided to take a chance one day and joined a free class, safe to say I was sold. I applied through the SheCodes Foundation and got accepted. I began my coding journey with SheCodes basics and was amazed by all of the things I was able to do with a few lines of code. Matt is an amazing teacher and explains everything so well. I enjoyed all the challenges as it made you think about every possible solution and although the homework made me want to cry when I finally got it right, I was super proud of myself. Overall, I would give this course a well-deserved 10 out of 10.

Oh my Lord, This workshop was so far the hardest I have to say, If you are NOT well organized your responsive will be a nightmare. I absolutely loved building my AI recipe generator! I love how it turned out! Matt as always, is amazing at explaining things in ways that really make sense!
I really enjoyed building this landing page, where we learned to apply advanced techniques like CSS Filters, CSS Hero styling, HTML tables and Embeds as well as pure CSS grids and CSS responsive grids. Building a fully responsive website without using frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind, felt enormously empowering. Thanx to SheCodes and Matt Delac for another grand workshop.
I thrive on healthy challenges, and this project provides exactly that. Initially, I felt overwhelmed, so I took a much-needed break as advised by Matt. Upon returning, I felt refreshed and ready to tackle the project. This program encourages critical thinking and problem-solving from every possible angle. I'm grateful for both the new lessons and the refreshers it offers.

Lessons are very structured as always. I love that we are building towards working on building a functional web application, and the lessons throughout are broken down to teach the essentials we need to learn for the HTML, CSS, and JS + how to use GIT and deploy the website in the end. Felt like we have a goal to work towards while learning the harder concept. It's also always so good to see Matt code it from scratch at the videos and see the way he tries to debug the code when it's not working. so helpful.
I have zero background in the tech industry but after seeing the wonderful work life balance it has offered my husband, I became interested. I was scared to switch from something I am just getting comfortable with (nursing) and going to the complete polar opposite end. It really is like learning a new language but Matt and his SheCodes team have done a wonderful job of fitting it into bite sized pieces and offering enough opportunities to practice that you will in fact start speaking the language! It's a lot of fun. The best way I can describe it is being in an art class that asks you to replicate, or create, a piece of art with whatever means you know to get to it and its a puzzle! No one code is the same but the end product is very similar.
As amazing as the previous course. It offers a perfect balance between guidance and freedom. Matt explains everything step by step so you can't get lost, your homework is checked so you know you're on the right track, but you're also encouraged to incorporate your ideas into the coding and free to work at your own pace. The lessons motivated me to find out more about each topic and the project left me hungry to learn further.
