This experience has been nothing short of transformative, and the knowledge I’ve gained is invaluable. Under the guidance of our head instructor (Matt Delac), I’ve mastered the art of making my code responsive to any screen size, ensuring that my projects are accessible and user-friendly across all devices. The ability to create a unique online portfolio has opened up new opportunities for showcasing my work in a professional manner. Building multi-page websites seemed daunting at first, but with the skills I’ve learned, such as advanced Bootstrap features, Flexbox, and media queries, I now approach these projects with confidence and creativity. Moreover, learning how to host these websites on GitHub has equipped me with the tools to share my work with the world.
The SheCodes basic course has given me a jump-start to my coding journey. I am excited to learn more, and to ultimately become a coding professional!

A good build-up from the basic course. You learn a bit more in-depth from what was learned in the basic course, and a bit more about grid and the spacings within. I learned something new about fractional units which I didn't know about before. Matt, as usual, explained very well with examples so it's easier to figure out.
I must say, SheCodes have changed my life. Never thought I would be able to code a full website. I am very excited to keep going and learn more and more. I would recommend to anyone. Matt's way to explain is very clear and straight to the point. Would not change anything. Cant wait to improve my skills with Phyton now.
Taking the 'Introduction to Coding' course was really fun! I was surprised at how easy it was to follow, even though I didn't know anything about coding before. The way they taught each lesson made it interesting and easy to understand. By the end of the course, I felt like I knew a lot more about coding and was excited to learn more. Whether you're a beginner or just want to get started with coding, I definitely recommend this course. It's a great way to dive into coding!

I am so overwhelmed with gratitude and joy to have been able to receive this opportunity. SheCodes plus has been a wild ride and I mean this in the best way. I was challenged, though as a firm believer of how greater obstacles bring with them the most growth, its safe to say, I learnt a lot.
I have enjoyed making and learning more about coding.
Where lies my heart you might ask? That's simple: growth. Every time I look back, I would like to see a difference. The skills I acquired yesterday must have increased by the next month or two or at least improved. I am not afraid of challenges and neither am I afraid of not knowing. The eagerness to learn stems from the confidence of being able to say out loud "I don't know." So, I don't know what I don't know but I would like to know that which I don't know... Something that echoes in my mind a lot said by @Zakhele Mofolo in one of the conversations we have had is : " It's easy to apply for certificates, but getting yourself to finish them is another task on it's own." With these words embedded in my mind, I refuse to start a race and not finish it. I would rather come out last knowing I finished what I started. I refuse to be a quitter because quitting is easy. I want to keep going because an obstacle passed is always an inspirational and motivational story to the next person. Comparing now to then, I have learnt a lot and I could not be more grateful to be seen as one of the SheCodes students. SheCodes definitely shaped me in becoming, presently I can confidently say I am a front-end developer. The road from here continues because learning never ceases. If you keep going, what do you have to lose?

I've learnt so much from this workshop, its been hard work at times and a lot to learn but it is totally worth it in the end. I've loved my journey with SheCodes so far and I'm excited to see where it will take me.
I had joined the She Codes workshop earlier this year and it has been a total eye-opener. The experience has been inspiring in the sense that i was able to learn and challenge myself and what i thought were my limitations. Despite my initial apprehensions, what started of as curiosity and an attempt to get out my comfort zone ,is proving to be a journey of personal growth and purpose. There were times i felt intimidated and way over my head ,but because of the way the lessons were structured i was able to understand , whilst having zero prior experience or knowledge in coding. Matt and his team's supportive approach and the warm atmosphere they created made it easier for me to engage and participate. Because the workshop is self-paced, i felt less pressured by time, the Slack app was a great platform to engage with other students so i didn't feel alone , even the She Codes Athena AI was a great tool for me and other introverts alike. It is truly all-inclusive. For that i would like to show my gratitude to Matt Delac and the She Codes family for allowing me the opportunity learn and grow ,She Codes has become my start, the foundation in my journey and its' a great way to start truly, I recommend She Codes ,more especially if you are like me, unsure of most things in life, self-doubting but curious and driven. You get more than just learning how to code, you get a feel of support .
I would highly recommend this course as it offers a lot of additional information on top of the Bascis Workshop! Matt is such a great teacher. His explanations are clear and simple and he makes the learning journey fun and interesting.

Really enjoyed learning Python! Very different to the other languages Matt teaches, so great to learn something different.
This was a nice workshop to further understand how to make a site responsive. I also enjoyed learning how to create grids through CSS.

Another fun and challenging project! Matt explains React well, and gives you enough practice using it so you feel like the learning really stuck. It was fun as well to combine two different API's in one project

Learning React was much harder than everything else I learned in these workshops. The lessons were very structured and straightforward. I did need to go back and watch the videos twice just to make sure I was doing it right, but overall, a huge stepping stone into front-end development.

This course was a step forward to more advanced web development and a basic for building responsive pages. Many tricks are still to be learned, but I’m really grateful for guidance on how to use Bootstrap, as there’s a lot of information to be lost. Building a personal portfolio website was really fun!

I spent many hours perfecting my landing page and it was well worth the effort! I learned how to work as a real developer creating this project. I do have to share that embedding the instagram code was my least favorite part of this experience but I love how my page turned out. Thank you, Matt and the amazing SheCodes team!
I've always been interested in learning to code but had no idea if I could pick up the skills and wasn't ready to commit to an expensive, intensive bootcamp. The SheCodes Basics course was a quick and cost-effective way to test the waters and learn more. The course design made it really easy to learn and retain the information, in a way that was well-paced and worked with my hands-on learning style. I came out with an understanding of the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and feel empowered to continue learning more.

It's such an honor to have participated in this coding workshop with SheCodes. It wasn't easy I must say but Matt Delac made it possible. The SheCodes Plus workshop was not an easy one to learn, especially when it came to learning API Integration. Juggling work and learning coding was also not easy, but I managed to do it and get this certificate as the video lessons were not long and were precise. Matt is also very good at explaining things to a beginner. That is what made the lessons easy to understand. He teaches as if he knows what a beginner would most likely want to know.
SheCodes has unlocked a world of possibilities for me. I never knew how exciting front end development could be. I really enjoyed this very practical course to build a World Clock web app. It was a really good challenge, putting everything I've learnt so far to use and learning more JavaScript functions. I can see myself improving with JavaScript the more I practice.
The SheCodes basics coding workshop has helped break the misconceptions which I had about coding. I now know that coding is not just meant for people who are good at mathematics as I had thought. All coding needs is an open mind and the willingness to learn. The ability to be creative is also a big plus when it comes to web designing.

Furthermore, I learned how to deploy my projects using platforms like Netlify, gaining firsthand experience in real-world development practices. The highlight of my experience has been creating a 5-day weather forecast app, where I applied diverse skills like API integration and UI design. The supportive community and comprehensive curriculum have been instrumental in my learning journey. I successfully tackled numerous challenges by leveraging the knowledge-sharing platform of Slack, where I could find solutions and tips from my fellow SheCodes peers who had encountered similar issues.
