SheCodes is an amazing workshop! In only 2 days we learnt so much and if before I thought coding was Chinese, now I can google it, understand what is presented and learn so much more!
SheCodes is an amazing opportunity for any women who want to learn how to code. Matt is a great teacher who has the ability of explaining you how to code in a very friendly and easy going way. Also, it's great to know new people from different backgrounds and new experiences to share! Can't wait to learn more about code!

My boyfriend is a software developer and when he talks... I don't quite understand what he says. Now, at least I have the minimum knowledge about what he does :) It was an interesting and challenging weekend, but it was worth it! Hope I can continue to do small things, in order to remind me of what I've learned.
I was very excited to do the workshop. I knew it would be a game changer for me, I just didn't know it would be so much. I recommend it to anyone, regardless of whether or not they want to have programming as a profession. Today, it is a necessary skill and every day it will be more. It has been a great opportunity to start the abc of coding. It had a speed mode equal to 10 energy drinks but it was a great experience and a great challenge... and I loved it! It allowed me to demystify important concepts and understand that coding it's not only to "geeks"!! But if you want it you can do it, it takes a lot of practice, investigation, curiosity and creativity... and to be able to start and stop a puzzle over and over again... Bucket list: "Start coding" --> Check!
It has been a great experience! I've learned a lot about coding it self but also about how to solve problems on my own, about available tools and about a new mindset.
In search for a new job, it became so frustrating to come across mostly demand for "front end dev" or "full stack dev", without even understanding what it meant. After these two days, I know now what to focus on to get my foot into the new market. There is still a long way to go but this weekend definitely pointed me in the right direction. Knowledge is very empowering and this experience is a great reminder of just that :-)
In a way this course was life changing for me. I am fed up about my area of studies and I really want to pursue something different. Now I am starting to understand this new tool and I am confident that is something that I really enjoy. Matt is a great teacher!

I decided to join the SheCodes Workshop because knowing something of coding would help accelerate some processes in my current job and aid the communication with the IT team! I left the workshop convinced that this was the best thing I could have done for my company and myself! The way the workshop is designed is really motivating. You are constantly putting into practice the new learning and getting validation that you can actually make it - it is really empowering! Coding is not a seven-headed monster!
I come from a financial area and kind of tech friendly, but before the course I could never imagine that my knowledge doing macros in MS Excel (which looks a bit old fashioned in times of artificial intelligence) could be highly connected with JavaScript. The weekend was full of new concepts and the SheCodes methodology allowed Matt and the team challenge us at the same time we had lots of fun.

Great way to get the fundamentals of programming when you don't have any knowledge of Data Science or related fields. The explanations are clear and deep enough to give you an idea of where you need to go in your own time. The exercises also help you to put into practise all you have learned as you go along as well as the final project!
Great didactics, a very hands-on course, covering a lot of content, but really well-explained. Gives us a really great 'map' of Coding possible careers, resources and next steps we can take from now on.
Coding help me to improve my logic skills, is fun seeing the results and feel the power that all you can do!
A great workshop for people who are curious about programing. I already had some knowledge of CSS and HTML and it was still a great learning experience. It is fast-paced, and you might find yourself at a loss a couple of times, but Matt is a great teacher and you end up the workshop with great basics.

I really enjoyed the experience and learned a lot with SheCodes! I was very interested in learning about coding but did not know where to start until I knew SheCodes. When I first started the course I knew very little about coding and now I can understand some basic concepts and probably will be learning even more in the future.

It was a great refresher course for myself; I studied web development 10 years ago in college but haven't written any code for a few years - the tutorials were thorough and at a great speed, allowing for me to learn at my own pace.

I saw an ad for SheCodes via Instagram and was intrigued by the whole concept and initiative to get more females into tech and coding! As a sociology student, I already had some experience with coding in other programs and languages, so I wasn't all new to the concept of coding, but learned a ton nonetheless! Matt's teaching is delivered in a very pedagogic manner, which makes a whole lot easier for both beginners and people on an intermediate level. Definitely worth it!
I did not have any experience in programming, and this course really gave me an insight as to what coding is like. I am glad that there were online had challenges and weekly assignments as I felt more challenged and it excited me to be able to put into practice what I had learned in the tutorial videos.I look forward to expanding my coding knowledge in the future.

Absolutely loved learning coding, still so much to learn but this was the perfect way to start for someone who had no clue about coding! I only wish the 3rd week also had a couple more lessons to keep learning more JS! I have every intention of joining SheCodes+ as I loved the teaching style!!
I already had some basic knowledge in HTML and CSS, but SheCodes helped me gain more knowledge and skills in HTML, CSS and Javascript. Now I feel more comfortable using them. I'm glad that I have taken the workshop.

This workshop is the best first approach that you can have for coding. In the past I tried to learn some basic things from internet and it´s so dificult compared to the lessons that Matt give! He makes simple to us what is difficult, and he makes totally the difference in the learning process. I really recomend this course for everyone who wants to start coding from the begging
This was a perfect beginner level workshop, I feel like I learned so much in just one weekend, and front end development is no longer a huge black box for me. Matt is an incredible teacher, I was never lost at any point! Honestly even though it was on the weekend I just wanted it to continue through the night!
This was a fantastic coding workshop. I would recommend it to everyone who doesn’t have IT background. Matt’s teaching methods allow absorbing the knew topics much easier than from an online course or a book. I felt challenged every day. And it was still lots of fun! This course definitely exceeded my expectations! I didn't have any coding background and by the end of the first day I was able to understand basic html and CSS, and at the end of the course I was feeling like a real geek :)! Matt is an excellent teacher, he's able to explain the most complicated Java Script functions in a way that makes these look simple.
The SheCodes workshop was a great experience. In those intensive 2 days, we learned about HTML, CSS and JavaScript and how they interact with each other. I've really enjoyed the course and feel like I have learnt a lot. The format and materials are great; it's really useful having a challenge after each video to practise what you have learnt. I've tried a lot of other coding courses and haven't felt as motivated to finish them like I have with this course as you are more accountable and the deadlines are tight. The community is great and there's lots of support available if you need it.

This was a life changing experience! If I had to describe this experience in a few words, I would say: team working and personal development.
This course was my first approach to coding. My surprise when I found myself developing a website that may actually work (!) and be useful to others. I learnt tools that will help me in my professional life as medical doctor and teacher. I just want to learn more and to do better.
This course helped me to get the confidence about learning code, the thing about doing errors and learning from them can help you anywhere, anytime. That even with the small idea you have you can create big and amazing projects. Even if i already knew about some of this, but not as much as i learned this weekend. It was intense, fun, and now i have another way of looking at things and now websites, haha. The weekend was very fun and we had the chance to learn a lot about coding. we did a lot of different exercises and in the end Matt also gave us a small briefing about the jobmarket oportunities and future trends. Really enjoyed it!
