The idea is that humans do best when a task is about 4-5% greater than their current abilities, enough to be engaged and prevent boredom but not so challenging that the person gets frustrated and gives up. Matt has a very good intuition for this. Each lesson or challenge contains just enough of an increase in difficulty to build confidence and encourage the student to keep learning.”
