“Really enjoyed this workshop, can feel lots of the things I have learnt coming together. I find that I'm recognising errors in my code quicker, working out where mistakes are by methodically going back through the code or recognising that something changed or ammended resulted in the code not working and something that has been replying that Matt said about it being trial and error felt somewhat comforting when I was stuck on a problem and had tried a number of ways to fix it before finding the solution... As always everyone is very supportive in the Slack community, and for the sometimes intense mental challlenge this took out of me, I have a great project at the end that was fin to create.”

“I absolutly loved doing the AI Add-on, the learning was as with the previous ones I've done very easy to follow, the challenges were incredibly helpful for putting into practice what I had just learnt and I found that I was noticing little errors in my work quicker and logically working out why something was not working. I really REALLY recommend this course, I had a lot of fun with the end project and wanted to make something that showed some of my Irish heritage, with my cheeky personality added in but also something that made people smile! “I found this to be incredibly challenging; however, I have learned so much during my time doing this. At times, life and work commitments have gotten in the way of my learning; this also made me more determined, particularly in the last couple of weeks, to power on with this. I can see my progress during this, starting as a complete novice to coding before the free taster lesson, Basics, and Add-on courses. I can really appreciate just how much I have learned. The lessons are structured well; Matt gives logic, rationale, and explains thoroughly what is happening. While it is frustrating getting stuck on something, I found it quite reassuring that Matt also had moments where he made an error, which I found incredibly helpful for doing my own detective work to find issues in my code and working back systematically. There is always help on hand in the Stack community, and it's also extremely helpful to read through other people's questions; I found that at times they answered some of my own. I absolutely recommend this course. It's so satisfying seeing and submitting the final project. Don't underestimate taking some time out and coming back to your code with a fresh pair of eyes! I miraculously fixed a number of errors after taking a break!”

“I am really enjoing all that I am learning with the coding workshops and the fact that the projects at the end are feeling enjoyable. There are moments of sheer frustration where my code will not run and I know that there is always support if I need it but the feeling of pure joy and elation when I have managed to find the error, mistake or typo in my code is a type of exhilaration I'm not sure I have never experienced before. It is immensly satifying.”
