Saphira, The Dark Tortoise Shell.

Saphira is a cat we took from the family that had rescued her. But she grew up having too many litters and too many dogs and puppies needing her attention. She was horribly overweight, she must have weighed close to 7kg.

We changed her food and bought her toys, because we live in an apartment and she was used to the country we have done our best to make sure she has stimulation to keep her active and enjoying life. However her favourite thing to do is curl up on one of our snuggly blankets and sleep!

She has lost so much weight since we got her! Her personality is still so inquisitive and playful it is great to see her trying to pick up her favourite toys when they get stuck. She is such a problem solver, and so loving, she almost always comes running when I come into the apartment to get cuddles, and help me take my shoes off, this is even more fun when it has been snowing so she can lick it up!
