Helen Folasade Adu, professionally known as Sade, is a Nigerian-born British singer, known as the lead vocalist of her band Sade. Her voice and songwriting gives listeners soulful, jazzy, pop, and funky music that I still listen to daily and enjoy every song like I heard it for the first time. She has an expansive musical career dating from the mid-1980s to 2011 during which, hits such as "Smooth Operator", "Stronger than Pride", and "Lovers Rock" were released.
