Why Lasagna?
Lasagna is my go-to comfort food, reminding me of family gatherings and cozy evenings. It's the perfect blend of hearty flavors, rich cheese, and satisfying pasta layers. Nothing beats the aroma of lasagna baking in the oven!
Ingredients
- 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
- 500g ground beef
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 500g ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 large eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Cooking Steps
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the marinara sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, eggs, and half of the Parmesan cheese.
- In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce.
- Layer 3 lasagna noodles, followed by the ricotta mixture, meat sauce, and mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with mozzarella cheese on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil.

- Use a mix of beef and Italian sausage for extra flavor.
- Let the lasagna rest before cutting to maintain clean layers.
