Yoga is a state of mind; a state of union of our fractured awareness; a state of heightened awareness of Self and others
experienced at all levels, all the time. In Sanskrit, sage Patanjali put this in four simple words: "Yoga chitta vritti
nirodha". In yoga, concentration is the sixth of the eight limbs of yoga outlined by the great sage Patanjali in his Yoga Sutras,
where he described it as the “binding of consciousness to a spot." The Sanskrit term for concentration as the sixth limb
of yoga is dharana.
