๐Ÿณ Eggs ๐Ÿณ

The Magical Ingredient in many Recipes

Eggs are a magical ingredient that are used in many incredible recipes around the world. My personal favourite, the omelette, is easy to make and with good quality eggs, is delicious! To make a simple western omelette on a budget, try this recipe:

  • 2 eggs ๐Ÿฅš
  • 2 tablespoons of milk ๐Ÿฅ›
  • 1/2 a diced onion ๐Ÿง…
  • 1/2 a chopped pepper ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ
  • 1/4 cup of diced ham, shredded rotisserie chicken, coined sausage, or any leftover meat ๐Ÿฅ“
  • A generous amount of sharp cheddar cheese ๐Ÿง€
  • 1/2 teaspoon of paprika, and salt and pepper to season ๐Ÿง‚
  • Fresh farm eggs make all the difference!

However, any eggs will do. To prepare the omelette, brown the onions and peppers together at medium heat, add the coined meat to the pan and scramble the two eggs with the milk and paprika in a seperate cup to pour overtop ๐Ÿฅ˜. Another option is to remove the veggies and meat, then add the eggs and "stuff" the omelette before folding. Make sure the pan has been oiled to prevent sticking, then wait for the bottom of the omelette to form a skin. Put a lid overtop the omelette at the beginning while waiting for the skin to form. Once the omelette seems structurally sound, gently peel the sides and fold the omelette over. If you're like me and are a little impatient, turn your omelette into an egg scramble. It tastes good regardless of what shape it's served in. Make sure the egg is cooked through to how you like it, serve with jam and toast or any other side (carbs recommended), and ENJOY!๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿณ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ
Apologies to anybody who makes proper omelettes, since this one is more of a student-hack healthy day starter!!! If you want to check out a different omelette recipe, I would recommend this one:
