I have a confession to make: Covid-19 is starting to annoy me. A lot!
As the responsible human being that I am, I have been sitting at home for the past few months (at least for most of the time). However, I am getting increasingly bored - you can only do so many sheet masks and self-care evenings at once. Instead, I want to go out again, enjoy life and experience new things (aka I got a severe case of Fernweh). But since Covid-19 isn't going anywhere, I have to find an alternative way to cope with it. My preferred way is to just google my way around the globe. And in spite of the real life experience that I am missing out on, it works a charm.
While I was google mapping my way across Australia, I found the town of Alice Springs in the very middle of the continent. It has around 24.000 inhabitants and if you would like to see either the North or South Coast, it would take you a pleasant 1.300km drive. Isn't that insane?
