Mallory Andrews is a Toronto-based culture writer, film programmer, and educator specializing in documentary, gender studies, LGBT and BIPOC representation, design and aesthetics. In 2016, she was named a "Woman on the Rise at TIFF" by fashion magazine The Kit ("Andrews stands out for her impeccable eye and incisive sexual politics").
She was a founding member of the editorial board of cléo, an online journal of film and feminism. During her tenure she had a significant role in crafting the tone and voice of the publication, culminating in a promotion to managing editor in 2019.
Her work has also appeared in Esquire, National Post, The Dissolve, Cinema Scope, POV Magazine, NOW Magazine, Indiewire, Film Comment, Paste Magazine, and CBC Arts.
