Are you a newly initiated K-pop stan? Have friends, siblings, or kids who have fallen down the K-pop rabbit hole? Or maybe you heard their latest hit, "Dynamite" on the radio and you just want to learn their names? (Warning: this is a slippery slope!) Whatever your reason for wanting to learn more about the record-breaking, chart-topping South Korean boy group, welcome to a quick and easy primer on Bangtan Sonyeondan (or Bulletproof Boyscouts in Korean.) Below you'll find information about each of the seven members of BTS!

  Roles: Vocalist, visual, eldest
  Special skills: Jin has a degree in Art and Acting from Korea's Konkuk University
  Fun fact: Has a penchant for yelling "Hey! Do you know BTS?" when in foreign countries

  Roles: Lead rapper, songwriter, producer
  Special skills: According to his group members, he composes nearly one complete song per day, roughly 300 per year
  Fun fact: He initially joined BigHit to be a record producer, and was told he would not have to dance much
