Crows

Crows, known as corvus, are part of a diverse group of more than 120 bird species known as corvids, which include rooks, ravens, magpies and jackdaws. Corvids have the largest brain-to-body-size ratios of all birds, with crows in particular being incredibly intelligent; the journal Current Biology states "the crow brain is the same relative size as the chimpanzee brain."
Centuries of folklore have painted crows as thieves, tricksters, problem solvers, advisors to gods or even deities themselves!
In modern times, these birds are more misunderstood, having been stereotyped as troublemakers, scavengers or noisy pests.

🖤 Befriending crows 👌

Despite the stereotypes, crows can be a human's best friend. As with any friendship this takes work, particularly as crows are cautious around humans. You can start your crow friendship by feeding them. Crows will eat just about anything, but particularly enjoy nuts, cereals and dried pet food. Leave out some food and sit back quietly for them to approach and feed. Keep up the routine and you just may find your new crow friends bringing you gifts! 😊
