Learn how to help your community and the feline population.
Every year in the United States, approximately 530,000 cats are
euthanized in shelters. One way we can help to decrease this number is
to open our homes and hearts and become fosters for local shelters and
rescues.
The most at-risk population in shelters are kittens.
Another way you can help your local feline population is to reduce the
number of cats entering the shelters. A great way to do this is with TNR
(Trap Neuter Return). With this practice, you help your local stray
population by eliminating their ability to reproduce. This practice
alone, ends the cycle of cats reproducing into a life of suffering and
disease.
