Askania-Nova is the world famous national park located in Kherson Oblast, Ukraine. It’s one of the oldest biosphere reserves on the planet and the biggest European steppe protected territory.
The biodiversity of this steppe ecosystem is amazing: altogether there are over 500 species of various plants and over 3000 animals. For example, you can meet there wild Przewalski’s horses, deer, bison, different types of antelopes and zebras.
In 1984 UNESCO added Askania to the World Network of Biosphere Reserves (WNBR). Before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine up to 140 thousands visitors were enjoying its unique beauty each year.
Askania-Nova has been under occupation since the first hours of the war, so it is cut off from supplies. Since then, the reserve's employees аre spending their own money on rescuing animals and maintaining unique collections. And they need help to keeping do that.
To help Askania, the Ukrainian brand PAPAYA has released a charity collection of T-shirts with photos of the Ukrainian south — "Coordinates of my heart". 50% of the profits of the business goes to the reserve fund and to the account "Come back alive".
