Self-Care Joy
Time spent in retreat allows us to step out of the complexity and demands of our lives, to listen deeply to our body, heart and mind and to find a freedom of heart in the midst of all things. Together, we take the time to practice finding stillness in our busy lives and learn to sit with ourselves. Joy helps us to be more fully present to life and it also gives us the motivation and the strength we need to embrace and transform our suffering. Research shows that regularly experiencing joy - whether in the form of laughter or of activities that promote happiness and well-being - can produce healthy changes throughout the body.
