Welcome to Deauville!
A seaside resort, just a 2h drive from Paris.
My family has always owned a house in
Deauville. It holds a special place
in my heart: this is where I cherish most of my childhood memories.
Deauville is a seaside resort on the Côte Fleurie of France’s Normandy
region. An upscale holiday destination since the 1800s, it’s known for
its grand casino, golf courses, horse races and American Film Festival.
Its wide, sandy beach is backed by Les Planches, a 1920s boardwalk with
bathing cabins. The town has chic boutiques, elegant belle epoque villas
and half-timbered buildings.
☕ Start your day the right way with a classic French breakfast au
café "Dupont, avec un thé", with a privileged view on the
place Morny.
🍄 Accross the street from the café is the famous Deauville market,
held every friday and Saturday. Make sure to take some time to wander
through the aisles. Expect some local and delicious products, freshly
caught fish, and clothes of all kinds.
🍴 Time for lunch! On a sunny day, head to the
"Les Ammonites" for a delicious lunch with sea-view. Be
careful, you might want to call in advance to book a spot...
⛱ Spend the afternoon walking and tanning at the beach. Don't leave
before finding your favorite actor's name written on the side of the
boardwalk,"Les Planches" !
🐟 Take the ferry-boat to Trouville to have diner at one of the most
iconic bistrots of the region: "Le Central". You would not
want to miss the fresh seafood and the unforgettable atmosphere!
