Rear Stanislaus-Adzhyhol Lighthouse (on water Kherson Oblast, 1915)
Meet the highest lighthouse in Ukraine! The vertical openwork metal
construction of the lighthouse made of steel rods is 64 meters high. It
is located near the village of Rybalske, Kherson region, in the
south-eastern part of the Dnieper estuary. But not on land, but on a
small artificial island.
Old Dzharylhach Lighthouse(Black Sea, Dzharylhach)
Dzharilgach Island is the largest uninhabited island in Ukraine with an
area of 62 km. Its pearl is the eponymous lighthouse with an openwork
design, similar to the "handwriting" of engineer Gustave Eiffel.
However, the building was designed by his student, which was implemented
in 1902. The height of the luminary reaches 24 meters. In 2009, the
Dzharilgatsky National Nature Park was established on the island.
Vorontsov Lighthouse (Black Sea Odessa, Odessa Oblast, 1845)

established in 1845 on the initiative of Admiral Mikhail Lazarev.
Vorontsov lighthouse is 26 meters high and 135 steps. But it is a regime

excursions to the lighthouse by water transport. The light of this
lighthouse is visible for 32 kilometers, and the sound - for 3. The
lantern works without recharging for 4 days, and if it suddenly burns
out, the light bulb automatically changes to a spare!
Rear Khabliv Lighthouse (Ochakiv sandbar, Mykolaiv Oblast, 1902)
Mykolayiv region has an unusual lighthouse, which gained its popularity
due to its location. It stands in a field 10 km from the shore, and
instead of stormy waves - a sea of wheat. It was built at the highest
point of the district - 58 meters above sea level. The light is visible
for almost 40 kilometers. Together with the front and middle Hublov
lighthouses form a straight line, which should be guided by sailors to
safely enter the fairway of the Southern Bug.
Tendra Lighthouse (Black Sea, Tendra Spit, Kherson Oblast, 1827)
The round 30-meter tower can be seen from afar - it is emphasized by 2
black horizontal stripes. The lighthouse at that time he did not change
a drop! The main function of this light tower is to ensure that ships
going from the Bosphorus to Odessa do not land on the spit. As the
lighthouse was built on the protected island of the same name, there is
no influx of tourists, and for a long time it was a closed object for
visits.
Biryuchy Lighthouse (Sea of Azov, Henichesk, Kherson Oblast, 1882)
Biryuchy Lighthouse is located on Biryuchy Island. You can get to the
island only with permission or as part of a tour, this is a protected
area that is included as part of the Azov-Sivas National Park. The
lighthouse was designed in 1878 year, but he began work in 1882.
Initially, the height of the lighthouse was 24.7 meters, and he shone
for 13 kilometers. During The World War II lighthouse was blewn up, then
completely rebuilt. Now its height is 30 meters, and it shines for 28
kilometers. In 2018 solar panels were installed on the lighthouse, and
now its are main power source.
Lower Berdyansk Lighthouse (Berdyansk, Zaporizhia Oblast, 1838)
The lower Berdyansk lighthouse indicates the way to Berdyansk Bay.
Construction began on April 22, 1838, and it started working on
September 3! Kerosene lamps were the source of light at that time, and
from 1883 they were replaced by electric ones. Subsequently, the
structure was equipped with an audible signal in case of poor
visibility. It is interesting that the Berdyansk lighthouse was included
in the series of Ukrainian postage stamps of 2009.
