Bledina — a noun that is used by Ukrainians to identify a russian missile.
Is specifically used during air rides to warn civilians about the flying
missiles across the country. Roughly can be translated into deadly ugly
fucking bitch.
How was it made?
Telegram channel “Huyeviy Kharkov” uses it as a term to describe air
raids. Although, spelled in russian as 'blyadina' because it is a russian
speaking group. Kharkiv is mostly russian speaking city, but young people
tend to speak more ukranian in last few years.
Ukrainian volunteers who specialize on humanitarian help created the word
during their service. They were unloading the truck with baby food and
found cereals from the French company 'Bledine' whilst the missile attack
was announced. The company name reminded them of the ukrainian swear word
literally meaning a whore.
Check Urban Dictionary Deadly ugly fucking bitchThe bledina tried to catch me, but could not. This is a modified phrase originated from the famous quote by ukrainian philosophere Grygory Skovoroda who once said that The world tried to catch me, but could not.
