POLYGEL NAILS

Create your own salon manicure!

As a woman who went to the nail salon religiously every 2-3 weeks before quarantine, I had to find a way to keep my nails looking great by myself while nail salons were closed.
Thats when I discovered a new product that was easy (kind-of) to learn, that didn't break the bank to get the equipment, and (after a bit of practice) that gave me salon-quality results! I introduce you to: Polygel!

Polygel is kind of like a hybrid between acrylic nails, and gel polish. It comes in many diffrent colours, and you can add glitter and pigment to create your own colours. You can add jewels, rhinestones, and even encapsulate glitter or other decals within the polygel to create your own nail art. With the right application it can give you beautiful results that can last up to 3 weeks or more. The best part is: once you get the hang of the application, you can create many beautiful designs and really get in touch with your inner creative nail-tech!

All you need is a UV lamp and a polygel kit, my favourite brand is Makartt and you're good to go.

You can apply the polygel by following these simple steps:

Prep your natural nails
Apply the base coat to your nail and cure in the UV lamp for 60 seconds
Pick some nail extension gel and put on dual form
Form the gel in the dual form
Apply the dual form onto your nail and cure it for 60 seconds
Remove the dual form
File and shape the nail extension gel to desired length and shape
Repeat steps on all nails
Apply the top coat and cure for 60 seeconds

And voila!
