Vyshgorod city

Vyshhorod is a city in Kyiv region. It situated on the north of Kyiv city, on the right bank of Dnipro river. In 946 the city was first mentioned in Primary Chronicle (old slavic-ะŸะพะฒัฃัั‚ัŒ ะฒั€ะตะผังะฝัŒะฝั‹ั…ัŠ ะปัฃั‚ัŠ). In XI century in Vyshgorod were buried princes Boris and Gleb - first saints canonized in Kievan Rus'. The most important monuments of the city are its historical landscape and the ancient Boris and Gleb Church.
