Introduction: Perspectives of a window

There is a practical yet poetic nature of windows in relation to people and nature. While a window is often perceived as a medium which provides people with a view between interior and exterior spaces, when you look closer there are smaller details in the design of windows which taps into our spatial awareness, in perspectives that we may not have fully registered before. The details of the material and where the window is positioned within a building collectively shape the way people interact within their surroundings. It is interesting to see how a particular window design can boldly inform how a person should interact within the space, while alternatively the specific window design can also subconsciously shape how connected and comfortable people feel within the space.
