Sickle Cell Anaemia

The Sickle Cell disease is given to a group of inherited health conditions that can affect the hemoglobin, the molecules in the red blood cell that delivers oxygen through out the body. The Sickle cell anaemia is the most serious type.
Sickle cell anemia is prevalent among people of African and Carribean heritage. It can also be seen in people of Arabian, Greek, Italian, Maltese, Sardinian, Trukish and Southern Asian ancestry.
