Man waiting for train

Meet Alex. 33, a Londoner in a job that looks perfect (on paper). Hates the commute but Audible makes it okay. Everything in his life is ‘okay’.

He’s annoyed with everything, all the time. Can’t help it. He’s turned into a clock watcher. Tries to convince himself to be grateful though - good money. Good people.

He keeps losing.

He’ll admit that he’s a bit grumpy and drained - who isn’t sometimes. He won’t tell you that he’s beating himself up because, in his 30s, he should have it all figured out. Too old to change the path now - that’s what he thinks, anyway. He’s also terrified. Not afraid of board members, evaluations and endurance bootcamps, but the thought of leaving his comfortable, if soul-destroying, job for... what exactly? - makes his stomach clench.

Alex is my typical client.
