"Cheesecake is a sweet dessert consisting of one or more layers. The main, and thickest, layer consists of a mixture of a soft, fresh cheese, eggs, and sugar. If there is a bottom layer, it most often consists of a crust or base made from crushed cookies, graham crackers, pastry, or sometimes sponge cake." - Wikipedia
The great thing about cheesecake is how versatile it is. Any flavor can be used in this dessert: do you like lemon? Great! Try a lemon cheesecake. Prefer espresso? How about a tiramisu cheesecake? Cheesecake filling can even be added to other desserts to elevate their taste. The best slice of cheesecake I ever had was of a guava cheesecake at a restaurant on the gulf coast of Florida in 2013. Oh my god, it was HEAVENLY! I still think about that guava cheesecake from time to time... and then I find myself wishing I didn't live so far away.
