This name derives from French, meaning ‘small hook’.
Even though crochet was mainly taken up by women, who passed down
their knowledge orally from generation to generation, anyone can
crochet. It is a hobby that is relaxing and helps people to discover a
creative streak in them that they never even knew they possessed.
