Mad about Plants🌿

A guide to getting your first plant🐞

Plant Mom

Building your plant fam can be stressful, here are some of the best plants to get as a first-time plant parent.
With just minimal effort and just patience, you can get these babies growing like there's no tomorrow.

The Pothos Plant

Pothos

Pothos is arguably the easiest of all houseplants to grow, even if you are a person who forgets to water your plants. This trailing vine has pointed, heart-shaped green leaves, sometimes variegated with white, yellow, or pale green. While pothos likes bright, indirect light it can thrive in areas that don’t get a lot of sunlight or have only fluorescent lighting. It's an excellent plant for indoor locations such as offices and dorm rooms.

The Pilea (Chinese Money Plant)

Pilea

Pilea peperomioides, more commonly known as Chinese money plant, pancake plant, UFO plant, lefse plant, missionary plant,' "Bender Plant"'or mirror grass, is a low maintenance species that thrives in a bright spot near a window, but it is best to keep the plant out of direct sunlight as too much direct sun can cause the leaves to burn. However, too little light can cause the leaves to fade and the plant's overall health to suffer, so take time to find a spot that's just right.

String of Bananas Succulent

String of bananas

This popular trailing succulent has leaves that are shaped like bananas or fish hooks, and if grow in the ground instead of in a hanging garden, “String of Bananas” can trail along the ground. When cared for properly, this succulent grows quickly, and is easily propagated.
