In October 2021, I travelled to my hometown area to visit my cousin's farm. A stray cat had given birth to a litter of seven adorable kittens. In my own life I had reached the point of desiring to adopt a pet, so the plan to rescue one from my own home area seemed fitting. I had been intent upon bringing home a silver female kitten, but fate intervened and my cream-ginger tomcat was the one who came home with me. In the first few days, he was rather scared of the dramatic change from an outdoor farm field playground, to a cozy high-rise apartment in a major city over 300KM away. But he quickly adjusted, and now he is a very sweet and happy boy who spends his days alternating between chasing cat toys and taking long luxurious naps atop my lofted bed.
