The Siberian Husky is a medium-sized working dog breed. The breed belongs to the Spitz genetic family. It is recognizable by its thickly furred double coat, erect triangular ears, and distinctive markings, The Siberian Husky was developed to work in packs, pulling light loads at moderate speeds over vast frozen expanses. Originating from Northeast Asia, huskies usually howl instead of barking. They are known as the Houdini's of the dog world, as they are excellent escape artists which can include digging under, chewing through, or even jumping over fences. They have a thick double coat that can be grey, black, copper red or white.
