The Lusitano

An ancient Portuguese breed

Lusitano in motion, traditional style

The Lusitano is a breed of very ancient and elegant equines that developed in the Iberian Peninsula many millennia ago. Very little is known about these horses because of how ancient they are. For centuries they have been well known for their graceful features and willingness to please. This friendly breed has been a favourite to many heroes and royals for their above average intelligence and majestic appearance. The Lusitano horse has long been regarded as a status symbol and is still famous for its outstanding performance in a variety of equestrian disciplines, including dressage, driving, pleasure riding, and working equitation.
