Mermaids

Mermen, Merfellows, Merfolks, and Mer: All Are Welcome

In folklore, a mermaid is an aquatic creature with the head and upper body of a female human and the tail of a fish. Mermaids appear in the folklore of many cultures worldwide, including Europe, Asia, and Africa. They are usually described as beautiful sea maidens whose song lure sailors to their death, unless it's PG and then they are beautiful sea maidens with lovely voices and fish for friends.

The legend of mermaids spans across centuries and continents. These fabled creatures continue to interest people (like myself), so much so that some people can even make a profession out of it now! Learn more about Mermaids
