When you first hear the word rolex, you are probably think fancy watch. In East Africa however, a rolex is somethig totally dfferent. Popular in Somalia, Kenya and Uganda, a rolex is made up of a spanish omlette and a chapati.

Chapatis' were first introduced to us by Indians who came into the region to build the railway. I don't quite understand how Spanish omlette's came into the picture but the magic that is created by the coming together of these two culinary creations of two countries far apart from each other is nothing short of GENIUS.

A rolex is quite similar to an egg burrito and can be eaten at any time of the day: at breakfast, lunch or dinner and simply as a snack. Pair with your favouite sauces and salsa for an even better experience.
