Everyone loves waffles, and these healthy waffles sweetened with banana
and full of whole ingredients are my go to breakfast. They take about 25
minutes from start to finish and are easy frozen for a quick breakfast.
I'm talking homemade ego-waffle, yes, they're that good.

The Ingredients
1 ½ cup white whole wheat flour or regular whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons sugar (cane sugar or brown sugar)
2 teaspoons aluminum-free baking powder
½ teaspoon sea salt
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
¾ cup chopped walnuts or pecans
⅓ cup neutral oil
¾ cup milk of choice
¾ cup overripe mashed bananas
1 large egg
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
The Recipe
Turn on waffle iron.
Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, sea salt and nutmeg.
Mash banana and egg and whisk together. Then add milk, oil, and
vanilla extract.
Add wet ingredients to dry and stir until just combined. Mix in
walnuts and anything else you would like.
Using 1/3 measureing cup, add mixture to waffle iron
